I'm curious if there is any difference (other than how it looks) between this and the D1 Spec Version 2.0 Throttle controller. Same cost, and I believe same number of steps in both modes.

Anyone have any opinions or information on this?

It is quite possible that both are coming from the same manufacturer .... The higher priced Pivot brand also has the same features.... I am extremely pleased by the one one I got from twpanson and he was quick about getting it to me as well.

Ok, thanks for the quick reply. I was basicly just about to order from twpanson and was also putting together an order with A&J Racing (lower subframe and arm bars) when I saw they carry that other throttle controller.

I'll stick with the twpanson ETC.

Update: just ordered it

It makes such a difference in the throttle response that it's like taking a drive in a new car all over again.

With my sponge like motor mounts due to the cooler weather and boost, SP1 is all I can handle right now... Anymore and it's wheel spin and smoking tires while the rev limiter is banging away.... When I stiffen up the mounts, get stickier tires and a better clutch watch out because I'll be back to using SP7 if the road is clear of traffic, children and small animals.

Considering those endorsements and that they are coming from you two, you've made up my mind here on which ETC to bite the bullet on.. I guess when my budget allows for this I'll be sending some money to Mr. Panson!

I'm sold

The stock DBW throttle control is so ridiculously slow that when you put one of these on it and step on the throttle it will sound like you have installed a high performance light flywheel.. Blipping the throttle when down shifting is like it should feel as well as is up shifting with the revs coming down after lifting off of the throttle immediately again like you have a lighter flywheel... Instead WHOOOooo it goes WHAAP when you goose it with the clutch in.... It's much more than a placebo like has been said by some that haven't experienced it on a FIT has speculated.....Do get one, you will really like it.... My wife will actually drive my car since I told her it was more controllable in the EC5 mode..

I really want one of these, how much shipped to 67226? I want the one that remembers the setting.

Btw I have a question, does it remember the settings within each mode? Say I have Eco on Eco 5 and sp on sp7 so I when I go to sp mode is automatically sp7 and i can quickly jump back to eco5 by simple switch to eco mode, or do I have to manually scroll it up every time I change mode?

I have one of the other non Panson ones. See pic. I have an automatic. I set mine on Eco 3 the last few tanks. I have not seen much in way of savings as I like to hear the HKS so I just seem to step on it harder. In Sport mode I found it to be a bit too touchy is lurchy. I suspect it is much better on a MT. I may sell mine in the Spring.

I can't remember if it saves last setting in each mode.
