I thoroughly enjoy cleaning my car. Gives me a nice time to think. And it makes a huge difference without much money being involved. And it will help the car last longer.

I test drove a CR-Z last week and want one....BAD! I mean the one thing I wanted on my Fit was a stick but they didn't have one and couldn't find me one, supposedly, so since that I wanted another stick. I like alot of cars out there, test drove a Mazda 2 with a 5 spd and you can really feel the lightness of the M2 compared to the Fit, so that would've been another ride but it was too soon after getting my Fit and I was upside down but now I'm not that bad but now the problem is short supply of them (CR-Z). The one I test drove was Milano Red and I just don't want a red car, I mean I tried to convince myself that you'd get used to the color....didn't work, then I said to myself "hey, your a detailer and that red, non-metallic paint is good practice and a way to show people what you can do!"....I said no to that. I want Storm silver, ironic color considering what happened in Japan and why I can't get one right now but its what I want, the car looks so expensive in that color!

I totally agree with you about keeping a car or motorcycle clean extending the life of the vehicle... It is my body that has worn out that prevents me from staying on top of all but the mechanical upkeep... There are a lot of cars that look beautiful but are ignored otherwise.... Your other cars looked great but I already told you that.

Thanks TC! And I totally understand why you won't clean things as often as I on the body aspect. As for upkeep, they will be maintained to the best of my ability/wallet's ability (at times), I want the Fit to last a LONG time.

No kidding - there's a milano red CR-Z at the dealership showroom recently when I picked up my Si - I can see swirl marks on it already.

Normally, SSM is as boring as it gets, but you're right, on a CR-Z, it works!

My milano red had no swirls.

Although it was milano pink

Or maybe the car was so faded I just couldn't see the swirls.

That's what I'm thinking.

I always loved Milano but hated seeing pink Teggys and Civics driving down the street..
NFR is definitely a good replacement though.. Seems much more solid and durable.

Yeah, I was going to get it repainted once I got a set of decent wheels/coilovers. The ones that came with it were trash.

Not to say I wouldn't mind having a fun, fast car for the weekends, like a 370Z Nismo or a GTR.
See, to that end I miss my z when I have the ac on and the gas pedal doesn't feel as lively as it should. And the low end torque was nice to. But then I drive by gas station and I'm like o yeah, that's why I got my fit. No regrets in a time like this...

The only two cars I seriously considered before my Fit were the 8th Gen Civic Si and the VW GTI. I dismissed both because the Civic Si was going for crazy money around here like $20K for an '08 with 40K miles on it, and I dismissed the VW GTI because I was scared about the reliability. I love the looks of it, love how it drives, love the fact that a $600 APR tune yields so much power BUT it's just not as reliable as a Honda and the operating costs are higher. I love my Fit for what it is, it's great on gas, fun to drive, and I can fit a mountain bike or my stuff for camping.

I am pretty happy with mine.. for the most part, but maybe I should have bought a used GD3 Fit Sport instead of what I bought, which is a new GE8. Payments would have been lower and the term would have been shorter.

10 months ago I found a very nice 2008 Fit Sport 5MT with 34K for $9800. Hmmm... oh well too late now.

What about you guys?
so you bought a B class car and now your having 2nd thoughts because you want a sportier car? lol you sir seem more like your torn between what you should have and what you want to have. as for me though i wouldn't trade mine for any other B class car. love the fit. unlike you though i get to have my cake and eat it too cause my weekend car is an evo =P
