Jesus, don't do it. Mothball it and save it for later. There will be time, some time.

That being said, GLWS. 17k is a hell of a deal.

Nah dude, you have WAAAY to much invested it this. You might as well keep the GD and pick up an AP1 (or 2) if you can find a clean one for a fair price. The 1s are starting to get pretty cheap nowadays.

I am happy that you are keeping the car... There are too many East Texas Farm To Market roads to enjoy a car like yours on to not have it... I plan on working on mine performing upgrades to increase performance and drive it fast when the urge hits until I can't do it anymore... You have an exemplary car and should keep on boogying in it..

Having a DD makes it so much better when you actually do get in your racecar. Gives you a new sense of how awesome your creation is.

My playcars have been nothing compared to what you've done with the Fit, but I regret selling them every day, and wish I would have just stored it somewhere instead of selling. The money wasn't worth it. You'd be taking a huge loss selling this thing too.

you are 100% correct. I have a work car for work travel and after work i use my gf car for everything. the only time I dd the fit is just to and from work. like 5 min drive. I get used to driving normal cars and when i get in the fit cant help but to grin. I really probably look like a grinning retard driving. lol Once a get a 2nd car, im going to store my car in a cheap SECURE storage unit. with tools and tires and parts. keep her hidden.

I've been driving our old 95 GMC Sierra truck since putting my Fit on jack stands a few months ago... I keep picking up stuff to improve performance and wanting to enhance the new stuff with more new expensive stuff... Once you get started doing stuff that rewards you when you are behind the wheel, it seems to snowball... I am starting to hate the truck even though I only drive it about once or twice a month..

Sweet. Im glad ur keeping the fit. Ive been watching this build for a long time. Im gonna start road racing soon and am getting ideas from u.

Ive put over 40 k into my car and a whole lot of time. I am always wanting to sell it too because it takes all my money cause i have a family and 2 kids and i rarely drive it now that i have a Yukon. But my daughter loves it and her eyes light up everytime she gets to ride in it.

For the love of anything CAR-Holy... don't sell this K20 GD3 man !! I'm personally moving to Baton Rouge, LA next week (new job) and one of my plans was to meet up with you for a Track Day. And get some cool GD3 Racing Video... I'm also going supercharger before years end.

Glad you came to your senses...

amazing videos with an awesome car, JCrimson. can u give me some recommendations? i got a 07 with automatic trans...currently have Weapon-R intake manifold, megan racing headers, injen cold air, skunk2 60mm catback, tein springs, brembo rotors, hawk pads, dunlop tires, pulstar plugs, skunk2 radiator hoses, oil and radiator caps, Jet Performance ecu upgrade.
I am searching for a Kraftwerks s/c (hope to find a slightly used 1), but do you recommend replacing the stock pistons with Wiseco or CP pistons? is there anything else that anyone would recommend?

thanks to all,

Chris

Eibach camber for both, springs and camber were the only mods that I had someone else install.

meh, YOLO right? lol Either way, purchasing a car is a horrible "investment" just farm your car for happiness and go nuts.

thanks man! Wow that sounds like a lot of mods you got there. Personally I don't know much about building the L15A, but generally people say its not worth the money or time to do actual building work to it. its very expensive and you will never have the numbers of a stock K20A, unless I guess FI of course.. with all that shit. but man, that all sounds super expensive. i would just go K and be done. would fix that automatic problem you have anyways haha. Whatever your goals are, I support you, ill help as much as I can with info. thanks!

talking to me? If so I use the H&R camber bolts for the front, and the rear have been shimmed with custom metal plates.

Thanks for everyone's input, keep posting! good stuff here!

Had no idea you were keeping it. I just wrote this thread off as a goodbye string of posts getting bumped. Awesome news!

Get a NA miata for DDing, perhaps? You can have a blast in one of those on and off the track. Should you choose to build an even faster track car, the miata gives you the platform to do so. I've seen NAs that are tough to beat without a p-car, or the like.
