I can understand that. I'd do the same. Just going based on price alone, and saving 5+ grand or so on the car, plus less new tires per year. Seems miatas take slightly less modification to run on the track safely, but that is because they are not approaching the s2k's performance. Your Fit probably takes miatas out left and right on the track, right?

yep, and s2ks. I only want 1 track car so anything i buy with have zero time at the track. even an s2k. it would be a joke compared to my fit. not trying to be all big headed. took many days and dollars to get it there. I'll either end up with an S2k or a teg for a DD, unless some other extravagant deal finds me. lol

See and you had BAD THOUGHTS of letting it go. How dare you, when I do get to TX, don't hold your breath, you'll be spanked like the bad little boy you were. :P

Haha 555, we'll see about that! Either way make sure to bring me down a pair of those Asics race boots, you know the kangaroo suede ones, red, high top, usd size 10. About $350 USD

Seriously though, if you ever want to come visit, just buy your air fare and I'll provide you with the rest (ie: room/board, food)

haha I agree with you but 2 things seal the deal for me.

1. car must be unmolested. very rare for an s2k..

2. Price!

My friend is 6'5" and fits fine in the Miata. I'm 6'1" and it feels like the car was built for my exact sizing lol.

I'm only 5'8" @ 140lbs. I have no issue with it nor the s2k.

I can't close the door without depressing the clutch in the S2k. And then once the doors closed I can't take my foot off the firewall.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Miata is a more engaging experience. Never driven an S2K though.

S2000 has VTEC, thus it is King among small affordable sports cars.
