Are you serious?? AT will release at the same time. Wow I was impressed.

- Will the AT Kit little bit more expensive than MT Kit??
- Usually AT has different setup, so I'm wondering which part is different than MT???

Well, I'm looking forward to see how the AT Kit run on Dyno, hopefully will come up the same power.

this is great news! (not like i have any money though )

i would assume that the manual transmission version will be slightly cheaper. and i think there is a bit of a powetrain loss with the auto as well. Chris i belive has had 2 protoypes fitted to his car...the orginal estimates of wheel hp for the 5lb and 10lb kit were 160 and 190 hp, with a slightly downrated number for the auto. I remember being suprised earlier in this thread when chris mentioned an estimate of the hp he was making to the wheels with the new kit and it was around 170-180 i belive,...and that was the 5lb kit. so if the auto is going to be slightly downrated, it will be great! If we auto guys can score 165-175 whp that would be fantastic.

more importantly I'd like to see a torque figure and i plan on dynoing my car after i get the whole thing set up. ( i wont worry about what the stock figures were, as its been posted numerous times.)

No need to worry, the liver is one of those things that can actually grow back, as long as you only take a piece.

I guess black-market organs here you come ...

thanks for the clarification chris, i knew you'd chime in if i started spewing random unbiased facts.

so if you are currently on the 5lb kit, manual, i guess a 150 whp for us auto guys would be great.

thats a huge step up from 80-90 whp.

What is the reason for the 10 hp variance/range? Have you simply not dyno'd the car yet or is it an issue of differing dyno's, different conditions, additional mods, heat soak, etc?

I talked to Oscar today, about the kits being released. Hopefully will be an owner of one after the first of the year.

That's pretty much my question. What were you changing during your test runs to see that 10 whp difference?

whoa! its like the jacksons are like the feds now!

to answer your question, i think the discrepency came from the original run being on the older kit, the new one is more efficient apparently.

chris, do you have any problems over taking gti's or si's?

Good hypothesis, but I don't think that's it since he states that it made 142 on the old kit, and then states the 155-165 for the new one.

Just curious if the supercharger kits are a difficult install? Is it something that a shop should do, or could the "average" guy do it with some patience and basic tools (and not destroy the engine . . . LOL).

I'd love to pick one of these up

Didn't see anything other than some talk about install time. I was asking more about install difficulty.
