Starting p90x today.
Best part was it was FREE.

Have I mentioned I've lost almost 30lbs on my own? Whoot! That's what diet and exercise will get you!

Try the app Lose it! if you have iphone or android...or they have a website. It's awesome.

How y'all doing?

Wicked, congratulations on the weight loss! What is P90X though? I haven't heard of it before.

Been doing a bit a working and getting deeper into photography here. Here's a little slice of what I haven't posted on Facebook yet.

Yeah, I've been just running in the mornings and riding my bicycle in the evenings (love that freaking thing! It just motivates me so much)--and using the app lose it to help me watch calories.

But now that it's getting colder, going outside is just not near as fun so I need something to do inside, hence the P90x...a coworker gave it to me. I am stoked to start trying it. I just want to make sure I don't gain weight over the winter. Exercise also helps me keep tone and not so flabby. My arms need it. Eventhough I've lost weight, my arms are just blah. Curls and push ups, lol!

The only bad thing I've heard about p90x is that it's really intense, and if you aren't in prime shape you might have trouble with it. My girlfriend tried it and just couldn't keep up with it. Hopefully you have greater success with it, that'd be awesome to hear about you doing well with it!

I need to start going to the gym

Well the nice thing about P90X is, it is a video, if you aren't in great shape you can pause it and take a small break.

I want to try P90X's or Insanity's ab workout sometime, get my abs back.

Oh that's cool, now that I think about it I may have seen it advertise on one of those late night, paid programming shows/slots. Something about constantly changing up the work out routine to make the body continue burning calories, body fat and whatnot.

Sounds like a few of us are a little out of shape here (myself included). lol Anyone up for using this thread to keep track of their progress?

I'm not out of shape, I'm just not in shape.... Hopefully my school load loosens up a bit and I can work out/eat better. If I do I will post my stuff on here. Anyone else?

I want to try p90x. Everyone I know who has used it say its great.

So far in the last 2 months ive lost close to 15 lbs just by cutting out soda, red meat, and white breads. Other than that, I play football or soccer at least twice a week. But it was really the diet change that helped the most.

I'm up for it. Getting kinda annoyed at this flab on muh belly from not eating right as well and miss being a solid 170lbs (currently 155 due to not working out).

I wouldn't say I'm out of shape. Its just tough for me to gain weight/muscle.

Been very thin all my life. Sitting at about 5% body fat right now.

IMO, if you watch your diet and exercise, you don't NEED a workout video. A lot of my friends swear by videos and say it helped them so much, but I think that's only because they don't work out UNLESS it's P90x, Insanity, or Richard Simmons (just kidding about the last one, but it's kinda the same thing if you ask me).

If you can get yourself into an aggressive workout routine with or without a video, you'll see gains.

I'm a professional body builder, not. Maybe I'm hating on the hype, but what I said works for me.

That's very true, when I worked out with my roommate last year I gained 10 lbs of muscle in about a month and a half, and i was able to double the weight of everything i lifted.

I really need to just do exercise, like consistently. And eat better, but it's hard when you live with your grandma and she shoves food down your throat. At least the gym at my school is great.

Haha, I wish gaining weight was difficult. I'm sitting at 185 now. If I could get to 170, I would a happy guy. It's kinda funny though. That some people find of difficult to keep weight ON.
