Our Fit came equipped with carpeted floor mats and wheel locks, already installed. We also managed to get a free cargo cover thrown in (after a long dispute with the sales manager about our lousy salesman's false promise to us when we bought the Fit), all for MSRP. I was curious to see if the floor mats was standard equipment for all Fits sold. I bought a locking gas cap from Kragen, and am planning to get a cargo net, cargo tray and the bumper guard.

ALl weather cargo / floor mats

Anyone have any good sources of All weather cargo trays/floor mats for the FIt? They seem sooooo overpriced directly from Honda, but I need them

drknife has a little shameless behaviour in the past
If you want carpet floor mats I recommend the honda carpet mats. We have those in our Fit and they are great. My fiancee likes the carpet ones I would ahve gotten the all weather but she insisted. I have a blog entry about the mats here: http://drknife.com/blog/index.php?itemid=41

Has anyone had this problem with the Honda brand floormats? I just wanted to know before I purchased them.
I bought generic carpet mats at Sears and they FIT just fine. If you want FIT mats you can get them at www.handa-accessories.com. The carpet ones are $70.80 and the all-season ones are $82.80 USD. But at Target I bought a gray carpet runner and laid it across the back seat floor. Scissored it up to FIT. Was that you I saw in Target eyeing the fake fur steering wheel cover?

I dunno guys not including floormats is pretty chincy on Honda's part...I would almost expect them as standard equipment nowadays.

Mats are not standard. everything that is standard is on the Honda.com web site. click on this link if you want an option to buy accecories. - Bernardi Auto Group . these folks are a largwolume Honda dealer that do buisiness on the web. they are talked about on this site and I have bought from them. Good service and pricing

"All Season" Mats?

We got our new Fit Sport yesterday. Yahoo! We love it so far, but its going to take some adjustment after owning a Ford Ranger for 8 years.

Being the messy folks we are we ordered the "all season" mats. They are made of thick rubber, definitely made for messy folks.

Today as my wife was driving she noticed that the dealer took the carpet out to put the all season mats in. Is that right? I mean if we went to the parts department today to buy the all season mats would the price be higher? Would they ask for our carpet mats back?

Any opinions appreciated!
John

The Fit doesn't come with floor mats - they're an addon. So they didn't take them out, you just never had them to begin with :P
