The rear mats don't mpve much at all - completely different story for the front ones... it got so annoying to the point that I installed the front hooks.

And this is with all season mats!

I'm pretty sure the exhaust stays on the right side of the vehicle.

so far i've only put the drivers side front hooks in = all other stay put with the spikes on the other side. Unfortunately, honda put that slick floor in the drivers side so the spikes can't do their job. (All weather mats here)

Some sort of mats seems mandatory - with the el cheapo material they used - don't think I could've imagined a more cheap feeling carpet than they used on these fits.

I figured the off-market floor mats available at Target would work just as well.
Has anyone tried to use those? Anyplace else you suggest I buy?

The floor pan of the Fit is unlike any other car, unless you want to do alot of trimming the Honda ones are the only way to go. Look for pics of them online and you'll see what Im talking about.

i hate the hooks for the floormats...someday i will break it by stepping on it..even though my foot rarely touches the hook,, sometimes my left foot steps ontop of the hook because no dead pedal... my left foot wanders off on its own.. plus its just the hooks are so big.. i cant avoid not touching it

College Hills Honda has them available online. Little bit cheaper then the dealers as well...

www.collegehillshonda.com

Also, I doubt the Civic mats will fit in the Fit without cutting. The Fit has a pretty 'unique' floor layout.

also www.bernardiparts.com and www.hondaacuraworld.com

hondaacuraworld.com does free shipping all you have to pay is a $3.95 handling fee (this only applies in the continental United States), so I usually buy from their even though there prices are slighlty higher in the end it is cheaper with out the shipping

I agree that there's no way Civic mats will work with the Fit. In fact, when you first get your mats, if you don't look at the instructions, you're most likely to put the rear mats in the front, and the front mats in the rear. On the Fit, the rear mats are the larger mats, with the smaller, more squarish mats, going in the back.

I wonder how those front mats are going to deal during the winters up here in Calgary. I can just imagine all the salt, muck and rocks getting all over the carpet in there.

Guess I will be shampooing the carpet in the Spring!

Thumbs down Carpeted Floor Mats

When I cleaned my 3 week old Fit this past weekend, the drivers floor mat has a significant wear spot in it all already ! Has anyone else had this problem ?

I will be talking to the dealer when I bring it in for it's first oil change and have them take a look. In either case, I will be getting the rubber mats as I have checked with www.weathertech.com for all season mats and they don't have the Fit even listed.

Yeah, mine has a wear spot too, but they're only gonna be in the car during the warm months anyway, so I figure they'll be good for at least 2-3 seasons before needing to be replaced. Too bad WeatherTech doesn't have them yet, I had a set in my xB and they're the best. Guess I'll need to get the rubber Honda mats as well for winter.

Don't accessories have a 12month warranty?
Take them back.

After looking at the online pics of the carpet mats, I figured they might do this...I went w/ all season after the purchase. You'll be glad you did. Although when I installed mine, the rear pass. side pre-located slits in the carpet came up a bit short! In other words, the mat has to be compressed fore/aft by about 1/2 inch to get it onto the hook.

The first thing I bought were the carpeted mats from collegehills.com (I don't like the rubber all season ones, even in Minnesota) and haven't had any problems.
