Got rid of the clutch delay valve and installed an AEM cold air intake.

 

Anyone using speed bleeders on their calipers and drums? Do you know the sizes front and rear to get the right parts? Thanks!

 

Replaced my front rotors and pads and now I can brake without a foot massage or jiggly steering wheel!

 

How did you replace the clutch delay valve? I saw a few guys had done it on their GEs, but hadn't seen it done on a GD yet.

Sigh... my engine light came on and the code read P0498. Evap. system problem.
I tried to disconnect my battery and reconnect it to see if it was just a wiring problem and was hoping the light would go away. Since it came back on, I've scheduled an appointment with a local shop to get it check out. This is probably going to cost a few hundred... great.

I went from the master cylinder to the steel hardline, like a few others mentioned towards the end of that thread. I used an 18" line, probably could've gone even shorter.

 

Finally got my surprise project done today! They started out as Drag DR34s in black, but then I got them powder coated in yellow and mounted with new black lug nuts.

I ordered my Braille B2015 battery finally for my Password JDM intake and battery relocator, picked that over the Odyssey PC680. It's just a bit under double as much as the Odyssey but spec wise much better for the colder temperatures I have in Jersey.

With the Braille I shouldn't have to remove the intake and battery during the colder months. My OEM Honda battery is less than a year old, was installed last July.

 

Thanks! Why do you have to remove the intake and battery? Here in Arizona we don't believe in winter. I think we voted to ban it a few years ago. Can you use a trickle charger to save/extend the life of your battery?

 

the Odyssey is significantly better than the stock battery so I'm assuming the braille is probably insane...
your wheels look great! i don't think he will honestly need the trickle charger if he drives it every day

 

The chambered Password JDM intake doesn't allow for the use of the OEM battery. It comes with a battery relocator bracket which can only fit smaller batteries like the Odyssey or Braille.

The Odyssey doesn't have enough CCA for the cold temperatures we get here in Jersey, while the Braille has more than OEM. I didn't want to have to remove the intake for the winters after I install it. After the record low temperatures the East Coast was pummeled with this year, I don't want to risk the car not starting in the future.

OEM Honda battery is 340 CCA, haven't been able to find much specs on it.

I don't drive everyday, I work in the city and it's a combination of walking, subway & train. Really only drive on the weekends. Will keep the OEM battery on a charger in the garage as backup.

 

Aligned the GD last night for a more autocross oriented setup and to allow me to comfortably run 225s. Here are a couple of cell phone pics...

 

What are your front/rear alignment numbers?

 

Negative 2.5 degrees camber up front... don't recall what the rear specs are. Everything else is classified.

 

I like -3 with nto1 and a little toe out up front for initial turn in. Rears I have done nothing with they are like -1.7 or so.

 

Got my Fit an exterior, interior and headlight detail. Took 5 days to complete the process. here's the result.
