Went to the F1 qualifying with the Fit and then came home and almost ordered some green rotas.

I might be seeing through the filter of high revving v8s and not thinking clearly. Thoughts? Green!? I have no idea why I want them so bad.

How loud is the interior noise with the Yakima rack? I wanna get a new rack because the one i have is so noisy at 45mph that it's unbearable.

Last weekend I did an HID projector retrofit (TheRetrofitSource FX-R Morimoto projectors) and also added HID H11 fog's (you can see this on the recent Fog light thread). This weekend, I welded up a 2" receiver hitch to carry my Yakima bike hitch rack and to tow a small motorcycle trailer like I used with with my 2008 Fit. I gusseted the original bumper like I did with my STI so there is no ugly hitch hanging below the bumper, killing any ground clearance (yes, I live in the country and traverse large ruts and ditches). I will post up pics as soon as my Photobucket stops having issues. The receiver hitch turned out very clean and will make the Fit super versatile for biking, motocross, skiing, and traveling with a small cargo/tent trailer.

The wind noise and the drop in MPG is exactly why I avoid any roof rack setups. No matter what I did to aleviate windnoise, I had no success. Hence my recent addition of a custom receiver hitch.

With the whisppar and the new FatCat i have no noise at all. They are also the most aerodynamic rack and board carrier out on the market though. As far as MPG Loss i cant tell a difference i still get between 33 and 35 and thats in the city driving. My friend has the square thule bars on his golf and they would whistle at anything over 35. So annoying idk how he handled it. I got the rack, fit kit, and board carrier for just under $550 shipping included from rack warehouse.com. In my opinion worth every penny.

Where did you get your mud flaps and how much were they if you dont mind me asking? I looked at the rally armor's but 130 seems a little pricey for 4 square pieces of plastic

Noise is the reason I don't run a rack all the time. The only time I had fuel economy issues is when I ran with a Fairing. without the fairing I could never attribute a loss in mpg to being the rack (vs temperature, other external issues.)

I cut down on noise with my current yakima setup using their "Wind Jammers" that gets rid of the howl so driving around isn't too bad. It's still not super quiet but that may partially have to do with the 2009's super-thin roof and lack of sound-deadening. The same setup wasn't as loud on the integra.

Washed the Fit this morning before church. Was 45 degrees out! Not too bad.

Yesterday I bought a new license plate light lens since the clip busted. Was only a couple dollars so no big deal.

ScangaugeII !

Plugged in the Scangauge II that just arrived yesterday, and started experimenting with it while my wife was shopping. Almost thought I had a defective one, as ALL the gauge choices were meaningless garbage. A complete reset took care of that. Now to decide what 4 gauges to display.

Currently have RPM, HP, water temp, and intake air temp. Gonna ditch RPM since car has a tach. Gonna ditch intake temp as it's too warmed up to give good outside approximation.

Probably will add voltage. Have to research if Xgauge can give me oil pressure. AFAI'm concerned, voltage and oil pressure should be stock basic gauges! Hope oil pressure is possible...if not, well time will tell what makes the grade for spot #4.

finally figured out how to install the modulo led kit. had to use the crz instructions from collegehills and find the appropriate 8 pin plug in the fuse holder. good thing it was the same blue/pink plug found in many threads here. had to lengthen the left side connector since i believe they sent me two right sides, but the shape is the same, so i can put them on either side.

Hit a curb and whoosh, lost the air in my right front tire. Now it won't hold air--I'll have a tire store check the rim/tire tomorrow. Gotta be more careful.

If you're lucky, all you need is a re-seat.

But, then again, you could have all kinds of issues. Damaged tire, wheel, suspension/alignment... who knows.
