Cost around $7 to replace a lot less than a molding strip on a Volvo I had which ran closer to $100 for a small piece of plastic molding.

Sigh... I installed my coilovers a while back and didn't put hinge covers on tightly enough -_- and then while on the freeway, my driver side hinge cover flew off.... it was sad how did you get for $7? I paid $10... even with 15% off...

Lol don't worry, i didn't know until I needed it... it's those two pieces on the side of your windshied. the plastic piece. that's the hinge cover because it covers the hinges of the Hood... LOL stupid name but eh.. and it's soooo expensive.

OH those two tiny pieces on either end of the wiper cowl. Man, I've taken that whole cowl off half a dozen times I bet. A pain but luckily everything went back on a-ok.

Springs and wheels went on the car today and it got an alignment. I grabbed a quick photo right after I got home and before the sun set.

H&Rs. I measured a 1.75" drop in front and a 1.375" drop in the rear. The shop I use for my BMW did the work and they aren't cheap - it was a bit under $1000 to mount the tires and balance the wheels, initialize the TPMS, install the springs, and dod a custom alignment. I'll post some more photos on Sunday or Monday along with a scan of the alignment print-out.

Quick service order part yesterday morning from Bernardi arrived today. Installed not use to getting parts so fast with standard UPS.

A quick check of edmunds.com reveals that polished metal metallic was added in 2011. It matches nicely to the wheel centers (Enkei J10 16x7).

Heated Mirror

I didn't know Honda offered a heated mirror. Can this be retrofitted to a 2012 base?

^^^ Yeah, but you have to order the mirrors from a Canadian Honda dealer, since it's not an option in the US. (also have to wire them in, iirc, fuse location 55)

Speaking of the heated mirrors, for those Canadian members, how well does the heating element dry the mirrors?
I can't decide between the heated mirrors & the JDM Aquacleans.

Yes, the mirrors can be interchanged as mentioned. Canadian dealers stock both kinds (heated and non-heated) because the base model doesn't come with them iirc (We have a mid-level car called the LX, which is what I bought). If you're interested, they are $301.99 CDN per mirror, and the box has everything you need for the conversion. It will work with your rear window defrost button. Contact a dealer near the border to save yourself some shipping costs.

Once the ice is melted off, it dries them quite nicely. It will also clear up any rain or condensation in a few minutes of turning them on.
