Don't the injectors make a clicking noise? Therefore any fuel injected car is going to tick, regardless of how the valves are adjusted?

Disconnected my battery for a while to reset ECU because TPMS light is on. Didn't work. Took it to Americas Tire to have them scan it since they did my wheel and tire install and I think they may have broken one. Drivers side rear is not communicating. They're going to break it down and inspect it Tuesday.

Car now feels like poop since ECU reset as well hahaha guess I have to teach it again. Le sigh.

do the idle relearn procedure

pull the NEG, tap brakes, hit horn, turn key ignition, then hop back out after a few minuets of sitting, hook NEG back up, turn key on for a few seconds, start it up, and let it run until coolant temp is around 180 at least.

Honda says wait til the radiator fan kicks on, but when I hit 185 coolant, my torque app says its now using the O2 (closed loop) instead of the mapping (open loop)

Car will run like crap if you just reset and drive. It will take a few full tanks to relearn properly. doing the ILP makes it happen within a short period.

Also, if you have a way to look at short and long term fuel trim, make sure both are under 20%

I did actually let it run in the garage till the fans kicked on before I took it out. It idles great and runs fine, just lacking some of the pizzaz it had partial throttle mid range.

I found that my car would run stronger after a relearn or even after removing the battery ground wire and reattaching it if I'd do a few full throttle runs in 2nd and 3rd gears... My scan gauge would show more ignition advance if I would do that every time I'd go for a drive.

fresh oil change with mobil1 advanced economy, and used a Honda S2000 oil filter.

Seems to be smoother at higher rpm. Dunno if its real or if that is just the effect of ZOMG S2K FILTER FTW lol

Planning on finally changing tranny fluid tomorrow morning

The S2K filter is bigger right? Did you end up putting in more oil than normal?

of course.

I love it. I do not have an oil pressure sensor or a flow gauge, but I do know from experience this filter gives me more pressure and more flow. When the oil pump cuts pressure to a max, Im still enjoying more flow due to increased filter media

Huh. Well I guess I'll try that next time I change my oil. Do you use the 0W-20 oil by chance? I've used it last two oil changes, but I notice I have to top it off every so often. Could it just be too thin and my engine's burning it little by little? Gonna go back to 5W-20 next time, but it worries me that I have to top it off right now. Maybe could be a bigger problem. No leaks underneath though.

Not all injectors make a noise. For some people, if they hear their injectors, they think they are bad.

In my experience, it is usually a sign of dirty injectors. The tiny valve inside is sticky, and slaps around when such is the case.

so next time you come across a car with loud injectors, it MIGHT be worth running some chemtool or acetone (tiny bit!)

BUT dont get the idea that just any loud injector is bad or dirty. Some are like that by design, usually those being the very large ones.

a 2500cc fuel injector is ridiculously loud to me!

I use Mobil1 0W-20 advanced economy

No problems here. I also have a catch can that collects oil vapor into liquid, sourced from the PCV system, and trapping said oil before delivery to the intake runners.

After nearly a thousand miles, it has maybe 1oz

My car seemed to run different on castrol 5w-20. Not because of weight, but because of it being brand. if you go 5w-20, avoid castrol, I didnt like it. It also looked dirty right away, and my mobile1 still looked clean after 3k miles of abuse

I only use Mobil 1 full synthetic! The best as far as I'm concerned. Supposedly Royal Purple or Purol are better, but for a street car I don't really think it's a big deal.

off the shelf royal purple is worthless of the price. Good oil, but nothing to back its rep.

The REAL royal purple is great, along with Bradd Penn, Amsoil, etc...

AKA has to be special ordered

+1 for Amsoil.

The shop I go to for my mods, etc, recommends Amsoil -and with good reason-

Apparently Amsoil was the only company that came to them with BINDERS full of test results, etc, proving their oil is as good as they say it is. Not to mention Amsoil was the first in synthetics for motor oil in the early 70's.

As a result, I ran Amsoil in all my previous cars, including my turbo Teg, with great results and zero issues.

Although my first 2 oil changes on the Fit I went to the dealer and used OEM oil, my next change I will be switching to Amsoil.

Bought a new hood deflector to help prevent another rock chip in my windshield and just add a little accent to the front of the car

Installed in a few mins only with the provided double-sided tape

I think it goes well with my whole theme
