Did you make a DIY on this? Looks great!

Unfortunately I don't because some one else already make a DIY about this one here,
it is just that I think that one do not have the sunglasses holder and not running the microphone wiring and the ambient light not connected to another ambient light wiring like I did.

Basically you need to connect the two LIGHT green wires from the socket behind the garage door opener together,
then connect the black wire from the socket behind the garage door opener to a ground,
connect both white/blue wire from the two socket behind the garage door opener to the pink wire from the car wiring that goes to the original dome light as permanent plus power source...

then connect another wire DARK green wire from the socket behind the garage door opener to the blue wire on the center dome light which function as the ground switch to the car door.

another thing is, you need to put somekind of spacer (I use thick 1 inch foam) to space out / Lower the headliner so it would meet the lips
of the garage door opener (this is only if you buy like mine where it have sunglasses holder).
otherwise there will be huge gap between the headliner and
the garage door opener assy.
(when I say garage door opener I mean the whole assy above include the domelight/sunglasses holder etc)...

You also need to cut the headliner if you decide to got with the one with the sunglasses holder,
be careful, one mistake and you had a hole on the headliner hahaha

Now, if you decide to use the ambient light, or run the wiring for the mic,
this is where it get more more difficult.

because you had to run the wiring through the A Pillar, down to the under dashboard.
You need to remove the sun visor, (there is a youtube video from Honda Owners on how to do this)
then you have to open the door handle at the headliner,
to allow you to have space to work your hand under the headliner and pull all the wiring...

I also use wire loom to protect all the wiring so it reduce the chance for short circuit to the car body.
then pull all the door weather sill,
then you need to slide the wiring between the A Pilar plastic cover/and A Pillar metal parts down to the lower dashboard.

If you have ambient lighting already, you can just splice the wire to the LED and connect it to the garage door ambient lighting,
if not, then you can tap one of the interior light so it turn on when you turn on the light.
My JDM ambient lighting had dimming circuit so it is even better.

By the way, I also have an ambient lighting kit combine with illuminated door sill (OEM Genuine JDM Honda Access for sale on this forum), this ambient lighting kit do not HAVE auto dimming though, but it have
the same cool blue color that will match

Damn- sounds more complicated than I had previously imagined... You did say it took you 3 nights I guess. I've had some experience with routing wiring to the headliner when I routed my bluetooth mic... As for the wiring, did you connect a male plug to the female socket? Or did you just tap into the existing wiring? And how did you secure it to the roof? Also, I have my own ambient lighting kit but thanks for the offer anyways.

Added these door latch covers I found on ebay. They simply snap into place, fit super snug and look clean. May have to do the door hinge ones next.

Before and After.

Wife and I want to try to get into some track days with the Fit....with that being said, the Work Meister S1 wheels need to be traded out for a more functional setup.

Anyone interested?

Bmw, how much was that whole assembly? Seems really useful. The homelink is compatible with any garage door?

And good work on the sport conversions, you gotta take it a step further and mugenize!

I still have my white mirror covers lying around if you want them caljog. Just PM me.

I buy the whole assy used on eBay, I forget now how much I paid.
it also include the 2 socket (make sure it is included when you buy).
not expensive...

but then I buy a brand new lens cover from Japan when I order other parts there, just to make sure no scratch on that clear light lens hahaha
then buy the LED bulb.

The homelink is compatible with most garage door opener,
it is compatible with mine right away

Hi, the plug from the OEM Honda Fit Sport map light is totally different than the Acura one,
but when I buy the assy (used on eBay),
it came with the 2 socket and have some decent wiring length behind the socket, so I just SOLDERED to the wire from the car wiring.
(No Tapping for me, only hard soldered ).
Secure it to the roof is using the same 2 bolts holes because the bolts holes
are exactly same spacing.
I did have to change the bolt though because now it need longer bolts.
I also put some double tape behind the sunglasses console,
because on our fit there is not place to bolt it,
in Acura it use 4 bolt, front where the light are,
and rear where the sunglasses are.

Plus when I cut the headliner, I cut it very tight so it help hold it also.

Well, maybe eventually... I honestly don't love most Mugen parts and they are hella expensive... I'd rather have an RS rear end with a diffuser. But to each their own

Ahh I see. The problem is that I never had a map light to begin with so I'm not sure how that would work out... Oh well. Maybe the harness/bolt holes are still there on the base? I honestly should've thrown in the extra money and gotten a sport... so much easier in the long run lol.

I felt the same way after i did the sport conversion, but then i saw the mugen in person and it looks a heck of a lot nicer than in pics lol. Yeah they sure do come at a premium.

Yes, id rather have the rs setup too. Though im actually not a huge fan of the RS/RS mugen front.

I completely forgot you were a sport conversion as well! Can't even tell at all. I wish foreign parts were easier to acquire/cheaper because they're always better lol.

They still do, I remember quoting a Lip for my base bumper a month ago. Just email them and you should receive an answer within the 24 hrs.

I might even consider going the JDP route sometime in the future as well.

You are right they must've taken it down recently, I would try emailing them at sales@jdpengineering.com

Website is working fine for me... AFAIK JDP is bad with responding to emails but not sure. I want a carbon rear diffuser eventually

EDIT: the website is acting kinda funny... you can still access all of the pages though. Maybe there is something going on?
