and not easy to make a rectangle holes (not round one)

and for Mugen side skirts, the USDM Mugen one is much cheaper,
and most likely already available in your color...

the JDM Mugen Fit RS one is more expensive due to shipping (if they are still available)
and most likely you have to paint it since last time I bought one,
they are almost run out of stock in any color so I have to get mine in I think grey color... and paint them again.. so extra cost on painting too...

or you can buy the replica of the JDM Mugen Fit RS one on eBay...
they are from Taiwan and I think they fit well since one member here have it on his car...
it is just that they are NOT exact copy but sightly different in shape then the original Mugen one...
Yeah I was originally considering your final option but I don't really wanna pay for painting, but if it's cheaper I may consider it. I'm probably not gonna do side skirts right away and wait a little while to let the wallet rest Thanks for your help BMW

I gave up on doing the sport bumper conversion when I realized that it weighted 50 pounds and considering I live overseas it would had cost me about $400 for the bumper alone that without counting the foglights and the lower grill, even tho I already have custom side skirts and a spoiler.

Anyways, the only thing I've done recently beside installing an all-fit lip kit is to remove the nokya headlight bulbs I had and put back the OEM ones which TBH look better and the lightning is significantly brighter.

I also replaced my driver side headlight lamp because the one I had was hazy abd foggy (from the inside) and I didn't want to risk myself opening it.

Yeah I had given up also until this happened :/ but it gave me the perfect opportunity to do the conversion It's crazy expensive if you just wanna straight up get the sport bumper without a reason to.

Oh I just saw your post where you explained what happened to your fit, my bad! Of course, go for the sport bumper; if possible go for the 2009-2011 sport bumper, you can find aftermarket fog lights from Amazon which are way cheaper than OEMs (I think they are called TYC) and then you need the lower grill which is about $40.

I need to be honest and get this off my chest, there are sometimes I wish someone broke my base bumper so I can justify buying the sport one.. There, I said it.

Has anybody ever cut out the whole black "diffuser" piece of the USDM Mugen rear lip?
I've never really been fond of the look and my boot hit it today and it put a little crack in it. I think it'd look cleaner without that whole black piece and chrome exhaust holes. It'd also allow me to run any exhaust system.

Can't say I've seen anyone chop up any of the Mugen parts. It sounds like blasphemy to most probably, but I've seen more rare parts cut up to suit a car owner's desire.

Only thing I would say is find some way to smooth it out properly.

Have you tried photoshopping it to get an idea what it could look like?

No, i dont have photoshop. I tried searching for pics, the only thing i could find is Fitdeez had cut out the chrome exhaust holes, but the whole center black piece was still there.

Well the black part is supposed to be a separate piece all together. The rear lip is 2 parts, the painted lip and the center black piece. You could just install it without installing the black piece, no reason to cut it out.

However, its not going to look very good considering you will see the stock bumper showing through where the black piece should have been.

I'm all for trying new, but hacking a part a perfectly good MUGEN lip, will probably not give you the results you want.

What you can do, (credit to FittedonEm) is cut out the stock lower section and either leave it as is or get a custom made rear diffuser

Or go custom diffuser

Well yesterday (Sunday) I finally had a chance to put #slowbeast up on jackstands since the J's Racing Suzuka Time Attack last month, reason being, I went stateside for a couple weeks and just returned home Friday early morning. Anyways, during the event, in my 2nd session I accidentally (obviously, as I can't imagine anyone doing it purposely) miss shifted to 3rd on the back straight and as I quickly pushed in the clutch pedal and moved to 5th where I wanted to be and floored the go (but ohhh so slow) pedal I immediately heard this beastly noise from the Fit and was worried I did damage internally, but what it ended up being...

So I took it off yesterday after contacting Kaz at J's about getting a new one or a repair as it should be repairable and put the stock piece back on.

While I was doing that, I was awaiting the Sagawa dude to deliver my self Christmas gift(s) that I ordered awhile back.

I think I'm gonna go the 2013 bumper route, and yeah there's no way I'm getting OEM fogs lol. And I too have thought the same thing! I couldn't stand the base bumper!

Can Hardly Wait!!

Ordered a JDM front grille, been wanting one every since I first saw it! I have gotten the Piaa horns, and the lamination for the fog lights. Already installed the EZ Lip. Will install horn upon arrival of the grille! Too bad I didn't find the grille until AFTER the unseasonably warm December weather, LOL!!
