Washed it and changed out the stock rubber exhaust hangers for some Juran ones. The mid-pipe was slightly tapping the chassis under the driver's seat and was getting a bit annoying. The stock rubber hangers pretty much suck and have way too much movement. Unfortunately nobody makes one for the unique rubber hanger near the canister and end of the mid-pipe.

About to take a drive over towards Fuji or Izu. Finally some sun and it is just asking to be taken advantage of.

Click of a button? What kind of turbo are you planning? Or am I missing something here?

nope. i see absolutely nothing. if it wasn't for my fog lights i'd be driving blind as a bat.

back on topic. my new replacement vented hood from JDP arrived today, because my first one shipped cracked. this hood though is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its like the whole damn hood is shifted to the left about 2-3 millimeters. the right side is EXTREMELY GAPED, and the left side is actually riding on my fenders and headlight a bit. also my hood can't even fully shut! im scared if i pressure it too much 2 things could happen. the hood can some how crack a bit, or it'll scratch the s***t out of my fender.

i emailed john, but at this point i'm very exhausted and dissappointed.

here pictures will help. please note the hood is not fully shut, because i can't lock it in place. its latched just not "locked"

anyone else have issues with fitment on the vented JDP hood?

https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=36e1d...4260BD3A%21108

please note i am not hating on JDP. i actually have, and love alot of his stuff. he even did a few custom stuff for me. i just thought i'd share.

oh, and please also don't advise me to try to "shift" the hood to the right a little because, if you noticed the bolts that mount to the hood hinge, theres actually no adjustment possible. i'm also not willing to "modify" the hinge or enlarge the holes to accommodate this.

im really sad...

Placed an order for some bulbs last night for my dad btw lol. I'm holding off on my stuff till summer. Having the parts and not being able to install them will absolutely drive me insane.

What sort of boost controller are you intending to run where you'll have full control on the wastegate solenoid duty cycle and a scramble boost feature?

The AMS 1000? I hope you got a big wallet.

'Cuz thats not gonna happen with an MBC or even an AEM Tru-Boost.

Still listening to your friend the turbo expert on rear mounting a 40lb/min turbo?

I encountered the same problem, and shaved about 1/4 inch off the rubber stoppers. Was able to close then. Have to agree about the quality of the hoods though... the weave on mine is warped. :/

just take two of the hood rubber stopper out. jdp is ok... just too much imperfections tho (bubbling. dipping, uneven stretch of material and thin cote) for what's it's worth.

2 things

#1: Finally changed the air filter after 30k miles, I didn't feel it needed to be changed when the maintenance minder recommended at something like 23-25k miles, but it sure did now. I go all OEM with my maintenance stuff.

#2: Installed an Infinity Basslink sub. I far outgrew the stage in my life where I was into neighborhood shaking bass, and ripping the whole interior out doing custom installs, but the Fit definitely lacks in the bass department, I was kinda bouncing back and forth between the Basslink and some other options for about a month but decided to take the plunge. I'm honestly quite impressed with it, does exactly what I need and I still have a ton of cargo space. I've yet to officially mount it, I just have it secured with a couple bungee straps right now, but it will go somewhat like that, or somehow mounted to the side.
