Just stumbled across a new demo for the AMS-1000 Electronic Boost Controller that I thought I'd share since it seemed to cause some confusion.. This is a new feature Seb is testing out, and they are developing the AMS-2000 concurrently.

Anyways check it out:

This works too but they slip and slide around. The plasti dip gives a nice grip too.

so my cars gonna be repaired, not totaled. from what im seeing in estimate though its saying aftermarket this and that! I AM NOT WILLING TO ACCEPT LESS THAN OEM PARTS! i explained this to geico when i put the claim in! its a 10mth old car for f%#k sakes! Conveniently they sent this email estimate to me end of day after theyre gone for the day and i cannot reach em! so how do i make em do whats right? theyre client blew a red light causing me to impact her! NOT MY FAULT! SHE ADMITTED GUILT, AND WAS TICKETED! so how do i make em use oem? threaten legal action? not impressed at this point!

Honestly, I wonder if this thread should be renamed "days of our lives... with your Fit."

Let's face it, its more stuff dealing with the Fit, than done TO the Fit at this point.

Go to the repair shop yourself and talk to them. Tell them only OEM Honda Parts. Let them know you want to see the parts list and know what dealer they'll be in communication with for ordering parts. then talk to the dealer. Stay in the loop on this one and YOU call the shots. if you don't like the response you get from the autobody shop, go elsewhere. Threaten legal action due to devaluation.

I was doing it all wrong then! Lol damn thing was still too hot though even when I covered it with a sock. The plasti dip took care of it though.

I had my insurance company inspect my car and told them I wanted nothing but OEM parts and I told them about my aftermarket parts which they took into consideration so they totaled it rather than paying to repair it. I can't remember what the exact number was but it was pretty good plus the frame was bent a little bit.
