They come in pretty much every car sold in Canada. They charge you $50 for the convenience, though.

DHL & CBSA are taking forever to decide that my order's GST was mischarged.

Been living in Canada since I was born, bought a couple of new cars in my life, none of them came with a block heater. Always was an option, similar to all other options that can be added with the car purchase....

So I finally got around to plastidipping my wheels. I love the look! Not bad for about $40 - should last me until I can save up for new rims/tires.

I know, my stickers are out of date :P

With the 51R battery, I started in -37 last year without the block heater.

Everywhere I've lived they call it an option, but they don't give you a choice as to whether you can buy it or not, they just put it on there and send you on your way, $50 poorer.

Certainly not necessary for starting but it'll be nice to not have to wait as long for heat and defrost on cold mornings.

Holy smokes - your car looks amazing! This is the way Honda should've sent them out from the factory. Great work!

Alpina that looks great! I know a lot of work went into that setup, it definitely shows. How are the brembos performing?

Thanks Guys,

The Brembos are NOT installed yet...
I am still waiting for my custom Brake Caliper Bracket being machined
at Coleman Racing for the Front Brembos and Rear Integra DC5 Type R caliper, then I need to Anodized all the aluminum bracket and hat, then I need to install the Ohlins suspension and modified Knuckle/Hub, Alignment then I will be ready to install the Brembos...
so I think it will take at least another months (or so)

I've lived in WI all of my life.

Never had an engine block heater.

So I guess anonymously complaining on the Internet has solved a problem! CBSA has waived the original $193.06 charge on my package, and it will be delivered tomorrow!

Also talked my wife into getting me a Progress RSB for Christmas! I've only been waiting two years to get one (mostly because I'm bad at buying myself anything that costs more than $75 or so). Pretty much everything I get now will have to wait for spring, unless I can borrow a garage somewhere, and probably a torque wrench.
