What did you do to your GE fit today?
Averaging 32 right now. I rip on it a lot. Are you still running 17s?
Hey guys, need your help.
I want to have the auto mirror folding on my car along with the blinkers. I been searching through the forums how to achieve this but haven't gotten a final answer. I only saw that I need the following module for it to work:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Auto-Side-Rear-View-Mirror-Folding-System-Intelligent-/310638660615?pt=US_Rear_View_Monitors_Cams_Kits&hash=item485381cc07
Is that it? What am I missing or what do I need to order? Please let me know.

I like the progress that's been made here recently
BMW - The RS speedo mod looks fantastic, and of course the stitching project makes me super jealous. Maybe I'll finally start converting my interior to leather/suede with red stitching. I can't wait until you install your S/C...
Connor55 - RS rear looks super super nice. Your fit was already clean as hell but now it looks even cleaner. I wish the conversion was cheaper, because I would love to do it.
Cajlog - The side skirts and floor mats look very nice. What did you end up using to secure the inside of the side skirt to the body? As I mentioned earlier, my trusty 3M tape failed, and it looks eh. Also, I'm interested to see what happens with the DIY stitch kit, as I've been considering the same.
On a side note, I installed cheap eBay switchback turn signals (by cheap I mean $25). They were plug and play, so all I had to do was power the DRL circuit (I used my previous DRL setup to do this, so it has an illuminated rocker switch next to fog and traction off). For $25, it's a work of art, meaning that it's not perfect. The bulbs have a projector lens and are extremely bright, even during daylight hours. The switchback turn signal feature is really cool, and gives the car a more luxurious aesthetic. The amber is a lot different from the stock bulb, but looks better in my opinion. The white is 6000k, which matches the rest of my LEDs. Anyways, I'll post pics later (maybe). If you've been on the fence (as I was) about switchbacks, definitely pick these up. They're not the best in quality (especially wire thickness) but you can't go wrong for $25. They even have inline resistors to prevent hyperflash.
I've been on a hiatus recently with the car, mostly because I've dumped so much money into it recently. The next thing I want to do is get some RPF1's, but the $$$
(and these aren't even close to expensive in the scheme of wheels). I desperately want Axis tails, and clazzio seat covers. We'll see what happens.

Thanks for your kind words,
I just finished connecting the Defi Gauge to the Control Unit,
so it finally light up...
I also move the ScanGauge from top of the center vent to top of steering column but angle toward the headliner so it won't distract me too much while driving....
I also reroute my Garmin GPS cable so dashboard less cluttered...
Next step is to connect the water temp sensor but I got to wait for my Samco Hose from UK to arrive,
while the Boost sensor also had to wait until my Sprintex Supercharger installed...

We'll see what happens. For the side skirts I used urethane compound on the spots with noticeable gaps, don't trust the 3m tape, hopefully I don't have to remove the side skirts never since the urethane compound sticks the pieces pretty tight to the car body. The body side moldings came with 3m tape but that one seems to do the job. I think the side skirts and the body moldings really come along nice, I also think it added 5 hp to the car (j/k).
Btw, I know you wanted to do something about your steering wheel; did you ever thought about the possibility of purchasing an used sport steering wheel and then just plug n play to your car? I don't know what kind of buttons you have on your steering wheel but you can just swap the ones on your base with the ones from an used sport one. I hate how my hands slides on my steering wheel, beside that the material is really uncomfortable, the one that comes with the sport one feels really good and actually..."sporty". If leather is what you're looking for then that is one way to go. I ordered the stitch since it was cheap and wanted to test how it looks but if I don't like it then I'm just going to have the steering wheel done locally with quality leather.
BMW_Alpina, the folding mod is awesome but surely expensive; I think I might hold that project for now until I decide what to do with my rearview mirrors. I also love what you've done with your car interior, the black/yellow combo feels and seems really elegant and the level of detail of such parts look like they are top of the line. I've always said the interior of a car should be taken care as much as your exterior, doesn't make sense to have your car shiny on the outside but rusty on the inside...remind me of people but that's another topic lol.
In all seriousness, Corvettes are great fuel sippers at low RPM. They just lack the sheer practicality of a Fit.
But if you're unsure then a ScanGauge or UltraGauge can help a lot, it'll show you where you're doing well and where you're not.
Thanks!

Ahh urethane... I'll have to try that. As for the steering wheel, I have considered swapping to the FA5 civic wheel, because it is essentially the same wheel but has thumb rests and you can find OEM leather wrapped wheels as well. I was also going to get one with audio controls in case I ever wanted to connect them. A used FA5 wheel is only $60-$100, but that's still more than $10-$20 for a DIY kit.
However, the 2012-2015 steering wheels can be found easily. I don't know how compatible they are, but they're usually cheaper and have cruise, audio, and bluetooth calling buttons. It would probably be a PITA to wire it though. I might give it a shot anyways :P

I wrote my experience with Auto Folding Mirror with Blinker, plus I also incorporate Auto Tilt Function and HEATED Mirror. Oh, I also modified my Blinker so it also blink when I activated the alarm (not just for turn signal)

City driving in NoVa? 26 sounds good for normal driving with an automatic. Numbers need context, and what are shitty numbers in one set of circumstances may be amazing numbers somewhere else.

Yeah its got to be. I dont know what to do about it though. The car runs good with no issues. Im at 27mpg right now and almost done with the tank. Ridiculous.
