What did you do to your GE fit today?
Hey there,
One of the reasons that I decided to order these in particular, was that you mentioned before that they were a tight fit. I wouldn't go with the 3M considering how hot Dominican Republic is, the tape would just peel off. My plan is to screw the skirts on the sides (I already have the holes from the previous skirts I had) and if I see any gap I will use liquid urethane to stick it. Do you mind uploading some pictures to see how it looks on yours ?
Btw, I just ordered a complete set of Aries 3D all-weather floor mats and found a deal on ebay on new body side moldings for only $60. My doors are all dented due to the parking space in my office.

Ordered switchback LED turn signals, they were cheap on eBay and they're the plug n play type, so there shouldn't be any big modification necessary. The only real problem is that they're 1156, which has 3 prongs/nubs instead of two like the 7440. This is an easy workaround, but if it doesn't work out they were only $25.
Cleaned it and put in my Mugen mats for the picture, but I won't allow feet on them lol oh still need to put in my center caps, I haven't reattached them yet since the wheels came from the powdercoater. I need new tires also, anyone with some 205/45-17 tires for sale?

Not sure if my mats are in right, since I never use them..lol

Today I received my mugen key cover that I ordered about 2 days ago. I got it from ebay for like USD14.00 shipped, package says it is original OEM Mugen part but I'm not sure about it. Quality seems good and even the package was well put, fitment is good as well. Couple pictures.

You are correct, I was being sarcastic and making emphasis on my sarcasm
. The closest thing I've seen related to this are key covers made by Js Racing.
Nonetheless, product looks and feels good. My key cover was broken and this was a cheap and nice solution.

J's doesn't make them either. They're all fake.
Same with the steering wheel emblems, but it still looks good so I keep it on.
And I wouldn't go as far as saying its fake, which would imply that Mugen does in fact make the part and this "other" company is making the same product.
It's just a rebranded item. Where there is demand, there will be a supply.
I tipped up the Magic seats and moved the front passenger seat forward and rented a Mantis XP cultivator and threw it behind the front seats, no problem. Beat myself up running it for 3 hours and cleaned it and took it back to Home Depot.

I posted in the wheel and tire forum, but it doesn't seem active. So I'll ask here. I need new tires and want a meaty setup, current on buddy club coilovers and 17x7 +40 wheels with 205/45 tire. I want something a bit wider and taller, how do you think a 215/45 would do?
I've gone through every wheel thread and every 215/45 pic I find is horrible, you can't see the tire or anything.

I used to have an 7in wide wheel with 42offset, I put 225/40 and it rub a little but it was meaty. but my wheel was 18in.
if you put 215/45 with 17x7, I think it will not rub and sure look meatier than your current 205/45 (less stretch).
What brand and model of tire are you looking to buy,
I found that TireRack had special price on Michelin Super Sport,
It's Michelin top of the line street tire (without shaved thread),
- Size: 215/45ZR17 (91Y) XL
below is the link.
Michelin*Pilot Super Sport
I had been using this tire on my car for the past 3 years.
at this moment I use the size 215/40/18 and no matter how hard I corner, I can NOT make the tire squeal. it is also very QUIET and very COMFORTABLE ride. I use it on the rain all the time and it grip almost like it is dry.
It have the highest rating from reviews at tire rack compare to other tire in it's class (Max Performance Tire Class).
You will not regret it.

Thanks BMW! I should add this Fit does not see snow, will only see rain if I get caught in it. Really it'll be driven in nice weather since I have another vehicle to use in the elements.
I've never owner Michelin Pilots, but I know they're big in the vette world. Do they have a square shoulder or more rounded, I'd like for them to look as beefy as possible. Kind how the Dunlop Direzza Star Spec II looks.
Any pics of your old 225/40 set up?

They have more square shoulder look especially if you compare to tire like Bridgestone Potenza RE050A
I also want to point out that Michelin Pilot Super Sport is standard equipment on:
Ferrari 599 GTO, Current Generation BMW M3/M4/M5/M6 and Alpina,
Corvette Stingray and ZR1, 2016 Mustang Shelby GT350 (The GT350R will use the Pilot Sport Cup 2/shaved thread), and many more... (all world class ultra high performance STREET car).
and the closest thing to our Honda Fit is Honda CR-Z HPD version
which came with 215/40/18:
HPD CR-Z - Official Site
on the Official Honda factory website above it's stated:
Replacement tires required. Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires (215/40R18 89Y) are recommended but not included
Here is a pictures of my 225/40/18 set up which should look similar to a 215/45/17 in term of meatiness...

You will never be as meaty as the 295/35 with 215/45
because 35% x 295 = 103.25 from 295/35
45%x 215 = 96.75 from your proposed size of 215/45
40%x225 = 90 on my pictures above size of 225/40
You can go meatier then 295/35 if you do 215/50
50%x 215 = 107.5
or come very close with 225/45
45%x225=101.25

Hmmm I wonder how 225/45 would look, this is kind of one of those things I need to do it right the 1st time BC I don't have the cash to test out different tire sizes.
I don't want it to look like a monster truck, but I've really had enough of the rubber band 205/45 tire size look.
I found a pic of 225/45-17 on a CR-Z and damn did it look good!

Hello,
That pictures is long time ago, since then I had lowered the car.
18in wheel (with lowered suspension) will fit with fender roll and you also have to do about -2.5 negative camber at the front wheel.
