I sit in the same left turn lane on the way to work for 3-7 minutes every single day.

And there's no way to avoid it without going 3-6 miles out of the way...

Hot weather is good for fuel economy from my experience.

With winter comes winter mix gas (They probably don't do that outside the rust belt)

Sounds about right.

Here's my Fuelly page, I'm fairly happy with my economy since getting the car last fall, 40 MPG average over the course of a year is nothing to sneer at IMO.

Well, that was my first two tanks of premium since getting the car Sep 30th - And the MPG on the first tank was less because after the fill up I did some local driving Thursday and I put my foot in it a lot more due to the (unexpected) extra pep! What fun!!
The 2nd tank was pretty much just the highway drive home, tho after the 15 mile drive to work today its slipped down to 38MPG -
but it does tempt me to install the CR-Z under engine plate to improve the chassis aerodynamics!

My springs, replacement fog light and bulbs all came in this weekend, but here in Houston it stormed basically all weekend. During the week, I don't really have time to work on the Fit, so I have to wait till next weekend - except it's supposed to rain all next weekend too

Now that I've actually tested it, I can say it's pretty nice. But the hassle/risk of install is too big. For 50$ I'd have hoped it was easier. B+

Unfortunately I lost a spoiler bolt cover last week. Of course, I don't have an OEM spoiler and none of the sellers of the aftermarket spoiler carry these covers separately, so I'll have to order an OEM cover. Online, they're about $24 shipped, and from the dealership they're about $30 shipped. I paid $120 for the spoiler How does the OEM cover attach? Adhesive?

Ahh ok... The covers on my spoiler attach by adhesive which is one reason it fell off, hopefully I won't have to mod the spoiler to fit the cover.

I got home early from work and decided to install the sti lip on my base model.

I was going to use a heat gun to bend a little over the corners since it didn't fit when I was trying to measure it..silly me, I forgot I had to remove the under lip that comes with the stock bumper, then after that, I decided to take off the bumper and start sweati..I mean, start working. To be honest, you need another person to help you with this, it makes the job a lot easier. My old man decided to help me.

Couple of pictures, it was about 7 PM meaning I couldn't get nicer pics; perhaps tomorrow I will.

"Draft"

Screws I would be using, they came with the lip.

Cleaning the surface a little.

Taking the bumper off (only took me 5 minutes now, haha)

Didn't have a table to work on, I got 2 little ones I have around the house.

Almost done (oh noes! It is larger than the bumper! Well, I had to make some cuts on the corners to make it fit)

It's alliiveeee

I'm REALLY pleased with the results, overall it took me about 2 hours. I think I might be the first person to perform this mod on a base model.

Thanks for reading.

starting to make headway on sound deadening... took a while to get in the swing of working with the dynomat. that and I may have gotten obsessive about filling every nook and cranny because OCD. Just trying to make a good push to getting the trunk area complete and closed back up.

Managed to snap a pic in the daylight, then played around with the HRD app.

Removed the front licence plate, going for a cleaner look. Next project might be painting the lip in white and the mugen spoiler replica as well.

My JDM emblems should had arrived last week but the amazon seller is nowhere to be found so they got me a refund. At the end I might end up getting the OEM badges and stop dealing with china seller.

I also ordered some brake pads, will be installing next week upon their arrival.

ICBMotorsports sells authentic JDM badges. There about 110 for the pair but its quality and peace of mind. Anything you find on amazon are going to be cheap chinese knockoffs.

Got mine on eBay for $60 from a seller called JDMendlessauto, they came in OEM packaging with correct part numbers, 3M adhesive, and have no aesthetic issues. They've been on the car for about 2 months now and I have had no issues, and get lots of compliments.

I did the same thing. It's under JDM_endless_auto. Couldn't find an auction with both the right part numbers for the front and rear mentioned (75700-SNW-003 for the front and 75700-S5T-E01 for the rear).
