I've been wanting to do those inserts. Where my elbow sits while driving is starting to wear out and look terrible. These might be the ticket. I'd probably just go with black though.

On a scale of 1-10, how difficult was it? I was going to do these on my EK civic hatch before it was stolen last October and now here I am considering it for my GE8.

i would say a 4. hard parts would be pulling off the door panels, have extra clips just in case you break them, which I did; and dremelling off the glue on the screws they used. the adhesive i used gives u upto 10 minutes to reposition the fabric, but ill tell u its rough to pull back off but it can be done.

tools needed:
1. pry bar
2. screwdriver
3. loctite 300 adhesive spray
4. dremel with a sanding bit/disc
5. glue gun or screws with washer
6. 3m scotchguard (optional)

Hey guys, finally completed my retrofit project (about 30 mins ago). I painted the shroud white to give it a more aggresive look. For this, I'm using H1 6000k; can't wait for tonight to see how it looks.

I promise I will take better pics once I get to wash the car.

Alright guys, I've decided that I'm gonna redo my retrofit, with new shrouds and halos/demon eyes. I ordered red demon eyes and I'm probably gonna do a white a red halo combo. I'm just not sure what shroud to get, I like the G37r and Apollo 3... What shrouds do you guys like? Thanks

ooh i like that idea of a g37r... so much bigger than the apollo 3.0. defintely fills in the huge ass reflector bowl. besides everyone uses the apollo, go with the g37 =P.

as far ask halos and demon eyes.... dont do it unless u wanna keep reopening your headlight to replace them.

These are the ones it comes with standard, they're the same ones I have (mini gatling gun). Btw nice retrofit cajlog, just wait til you use them at night. Literal night and day difference.

Yeah I'm definitely liking the G37r's. I really really want halos lol, but yeah I know they're bad for longevity. I might do them anyway and see what happens. Also I think the rgb's have a muchh higher failure rate than standard single color halos.

actually my current demon eyes and halos have lasted the longest, its the stupid controllers that dont last long.

look at diode dynamics new rgbw demon eyes. much better looking than trs.

Indeed, huge difference and car looks a lot better now. I still need to re-align the lights, it's throwing a funny cut off line and I haven't had the time to do it properly.

I'm not a fan of halo eyes, considering the time and effort it took me to do this. However, I might eventually do it on a later time.

just a rant here.... this has been a rough month, between my house being struck by lightning, a few grand in surgery, and my buddy finally finishing my race car after it sat at his house for 2 years and asking for the rest of the payment. I got a bunch of maintenance I need to do to the fit, most notably brakes. Now the kicker is that the clutch is definitely slipping. I'd imagine I have a good 6 months on that before it becomes a big deal but I just can't spend that in labor and not put in a Torsen and Fidanza. I feel like I just got out of college and I'm poor because of my car. Its been a long time since I've been in that situation.

Nothing really. The rear drums are more than adequate for most anything, Pirelli World Challenge Fits use drums, not sure if its because of rules. I'm sure you'll get show points and they do make the car look better. lol.

Short sighted mod on my part.

Well, gave the Fit a good wash today. Looks like a white Geico!

Re-adjusted the headlights, which is/was a PITA; still lots of room for improvement.

Low Beam

High Beam

I was probably more than 20 ft away.

nice cutoff. u went DDM didnt u? may just want to lower the cutoff a little. best way to do this w/o a ruler is park behind a car on level ground 20-25 feet away. just have the top of your cut off below their sideview mirrors so that it doesnt blind them.
