2009 Fit
EDIT:
The incorporation of i-VTEC variable valve timing helps the 1.5-liter engine produce 118 horsepower at 6,000 rpm (an improvement of 9 hp) and 107 pound-feet of torque at 4,800 rpm (a very useful increase of 21 lb-ft).

The +21 ft-lb is wrong... we have been provided dynos from Japan on this forum already somwhere. It's basically +9 crank hp peak, same dyno curve. Or +6 to 8 at the wheels, realistically.
definately hafta say that the 09 is growing on me more and more!!! i used to hate looking at the thing, but with wheels and prolly a lil drop it looks pretty clean!! Im excited to see what colors will be coming out as well
Here is the 2009 Fit sport. IMO, the front end is too long and she sits to high. Not a fan of this body style at all. Very glad to be driving an '08.

Here's the same shot of the '08 for comparison.

somebody sat on the 2009!
it's looks a bit like the last civic hatchback to me...
Here's my attempt at overlay. 08 in blue, 09 in red.

Rear shriveled up, nose inflated.

You can make just about any car look bad based on the angle/position of the camera. What the image above implies is that the front end is somewhat square, when in reality, the front end is tapered, as the image below displays.
I have an internal debate as to whether to go with a 2008 Fit or wait for the 2009s to come out. When I take a close look at the following link that gives a side by side comparison of the two vehicles:

I know I would like the 2009, but simply can't wait the 4-5 months. I'm looking to drive a sporty, zippy 5 speed FIT this summer.

too bad those photos aren't all to proper scale and color adjusted the same!
Any word on the new engine model, chassis code, MPGs, aftermarket mods and also the new Fit's width? I personally think the new Fit is the winner, but the aftermarket support might take some time just like other new cars that came out.
