Hey, thanks for the pics. I'm not too good at research in Japan. Those look real sharp.

Oh if your referring to the US nose style personally id rather have my Fit look like a FN1/2 rather than a Yaris like the jap model does...

OEMFit: I love this picture. Where did you get it? Clearly the new Fit is now more meaty looking and looks hunkered down for action. I also love the outgoing Fit....for setting the standard for the rest.

I don't know, but I sure hope so. I think it is likely since white was not offered on the 2008 (USA). So it's due for a "comeback".

I do wish we were getting the turn signals in the outside rear view mirrors in the USA.. Fortunately, it would probably be an easy mod if you can get the parts.

Hmmm, that's the first time I've seen a side profile shot of the JDM version and it also seems to have a lil somethin' going on at the base of the windshield.
Anyone notice, most of the JDM pics are angled and no dead on profile shots?

So far, we've heard the '09 Fit is coming in September, which is less than 4 months away. When would dealers start taking pre-orders? If these Fits are coming from the Japan plants, I have no problem ordering one as soon as possible. (I can't wait to have real cupholders, 10 of 'em. Seriously when I show up at the dealer for a test drive I'm going to bring 10 cups of coffee. ) If, on the other hand, they are going to be made in US plants (which I don't see how, as they'd have to be in production already so someone would have leaked that info by now???) I may be inclined to wait or look elsewhere. The single complaint from me is no disc brakes in the rear, but at this price point that's pretty standard and they could be swapped out for less than the difference in price between the next level up in car models...

I have looked at the specs of the new 09 Fit and I would rather have ours. They are making the new one with a longer and wider wheel base, and more weight. They are adding some power, but not that much. I would rather have our fit that weighs less and prob has the same power to weight ratio, which just means we will get better mpg in our fits.
The 09 looks good, but I like my 07 better.
Thanks for the post.

My dealer called me on Sunday and said he's expecting the first fit to be on the lot September 3rd. You'd probably have to call your individual dealer to find out about pre-ordering one, I didn't ask about pre-ordering, but I am on the list for him to let me know when one arrives for a test drive.

Thanks; that's good news as it sounds like they're right on track.

As for power/weight in the new/old Fit, that's right but it's not the only variable. The xD for example is heavier than the Fit with more HP but real-world mpg reports have it getting as good as or better mpg than the Fit.

I only want to know if the 2009 rear headrests will fit in my '07. Why didn't they think of that design before?

I am in the same situation. I want a Japanese assembled car.

I have a feeling these will be VERY hot when they start shipping, so I might want to put a deposit down (ive never bought or pre-ordered a new car) The dealers here can't keep the current Fit's on the lot, and most opinions on the street are that the new model is much cooler than the current.
