Our Honda dealership had their training on the FIT today. I actually got to sit in it, and the trainer gave me a really good briefing on it. LOL, I even have my very own "Dealership training Participant Guide" book!

He had the EX model, auto, and has put 3K miles on it. I'm so impressed with the quality, and the features. The LaneWatch feature is seriously nice.

I was really wanting one with navi, but don't want the leather seats, so I don't know...They're going to have an app you can get for Androids ($59) so you can link your phone and use that for navigation, but unless you have unlimited data, that could get costly.

This is well worth waiting for!

Tweeter I am glad to hear the new fit is worth waiting for at least as far as interior quality goes. Did the dealer say when they thought they would get some in for sale? I hope others who read these posts will write what their local dealers are saying as to when they expect to get some new fits in.

He said they were expecting them any day, that they were told they were being released to them ASAP.

The guy that was doing the training said he'd been getting 33-36 mpg driving around town, and in the 40's on the highway.

The seats were comfortable, and the passenger side seat will go flat, so you can sit in the back seat, and put your legs up /feet up. That'd be great if you had a cast on! I could have taken a nap.

I was a little concerned that there might be a lot of glare from the touchscreen, but couldn't see any. Fingerprints maybe a bit, but no glare.

The knobs for adjusting the heat/ac and the other knobs are very solid, not plasticy (if that's a word). I really really was hoping he'd let me drive it, but no such luck.

Good to know the dealer thinks they will be here in a few days. I hope he is right. About not wanting the leather seats was that because of the expense or because you don't think they will wear as well?

Here in Montreal Canada, I emailed a Honda dealer and they said the fits will be available here in 2-3 months... so probably around August for us.

I just think the cloth seats are more comfortable. Of course in the winter, the heated seats would be nice, in the summer, not so much. The demo car they had had the black/gray cloth seats. Not sure what interior colors are available. There are 8 colors for the exterior tho. OH, and there's a power moonroof in the EX and above.

August? You need to take a run for the border, to at least do a test drive

hahaha

I'm wondering if it's worth getting the fit in August. By then, winter will be just around the corner. I certainly wouldn't want to take my new fit through the harsh winter... so I'll probably have to wait until next year to get it hahaha : nod:

I wouldn't want one of the first ones. Between the new plant, the cars that were delivered in April and then supposedly recalled be Honda, I couldn't see taking a chance on an early one. Unless some news miraculously comes out making me feel all is really well.

I'm not sure if anyone saw this or not, but Honda's official Facebook page posted that the new Fits will be at dealerships in June:

Every Fit is a great #FitForYou, and the 2015 model won’t be any different. Fits will be arriving at your local dealer this June.

Fresh Fit news from the local Honda dealer

The local dealer just called, wanting to move their last two new 2013 Fits.

Stated that the latest news on the 2015's was that they would not be arriving until mid-June. They have 16 people already wanting a 2015, so the price will be based on supply/demand. They can still make a great deal on a new 2013. The dealer expects to get 2015's only two at a time, so prices will be up there for awhile.

I told the nice sales lady that we were not in a hurry and would be looking for a MT anyway. We just want to sit in the 2015, to compare shoulder/elbow room to the 2013, before deciding on a model year. I know the published measurement is less than one inch bigger on the 2015, but how the interior door panels are shaped can have a noticeable difference on elbow room and comfort for us when making longer drives.

I don't have the greatest faith in the cars showing up when stated. Honda are the ones who announced the cars going on sale April 14 and now they seem to not able, or willing, to revise that date or give a believable explanation for the change.

damn, more bad news, glad I already signed for a 2015 Fit EX for $18,000 and have the VIN. My dealer must be idiots or they really wanted my 2009 Touring Pilot.

I thought about getting a 2013 a week ago and then we changed our mind and don't feel like we have to rush. It was a bit interesting dealing with some of the dealership sales folks. They obviously wanted to move the current inventory but I was surprised at how even handed they were about the 2015s. Almost a half-empty attitude. That's they way I tend to be naturally (see my cargo thread) but I was expecting them to be a bit more excited about the 2015s when they learned I wasn't going to go through with the 2013.

My dealer was really trying to push towards one of their 30, 2013s on the lot but I wasn't interested at all.

Dealer - idiots???
Man these guys will very rarely give us retail buyers any chance of buying at cost. Moreso on a newly introduced car like the GK.
More like they had a ready buyer for your Pilot. That's good for you cause you got your deal and they made there money - twice - on your Pilot and on your new incoming GK.
POST PICS when it arrives!!!!!!

I still have the title for the Pilot so not sure they can do much with it other than detail it and get it ready for sale. They are certainly going to sell it for several thousand more than they are buying it for. It only had 36,000 miles and was in pretty good condition.

The Pilot has done its stint in your household, its with the dealer, its done its job. Now, the wait for the Fit's arrival. Your gonna love the drop in gas consumption plus the readily accessible space!!!!

The decision to choose any FIT model is what forum is all about. Great choice!!!

He also gave me their internal training brochure about the new Fit - complete with the darn RS image inside taunting me like nobodies business.
Sorry I posted a question on your reputation very new to this...been dealing for 3 weeks with Honda my 2007 Pt cruiser is literally falling apart. I picked out the fit with leather heated seats...purple....sat in a red 2015 Fit that was at dealership for a few hours.... was aloud to start up but could not test drive....do you or anyone else think taking a test drive in a 2013 would be good enough to make a decision? I also was given a dealers instructors manual...
