Because of my experience with my current/last 2 Honda's that is all I will buy until I can afford something like an Acura or Cadillac CTS-V

 

I wonder if delivery is getting closer? I was able to go on Honda Owners site this morning and register the VIN of the car I am suppose to get and all the info is there including the manuals. Hmmmmm

I am hoping this is a good sign because yesterday it would not let me register the VIN.

 

Hope so. Another good sign will be when Honda replaces the 2013 on their american site.

My dealer just called me. He has a new estimated delivery date of June 1st, he said that the trains were 100% the problem in Mexico and that has caused a large delay. He said it should be "very soon" now that he thinks they are moving again. Ugh, June~!

 

So maybe it really is the trains:

When I passed my Honda dealer on my way home from work yesterday a car trailer pulled in with all new Honda's on it...No Fit's but I'm hopeful this is a sign that the early June date may be correct...I will be holding out for the purple with leather. Thanks for all the updates.

I'm another person patiently waiting. I almost bought a '13 but realized that it was the end of the run and the dealers were (at the time) demanding top dollar for them. The new car looks to be considerably better and I'm glad I waited.

The bad news is that I want a white LX with an automatic. It looks like those might be out as '16s.

 

Don't give up hope George. I had posted that my dealer had a white one but then realized it was a 2013 :-P With some time they should start rolling in regular.

 

Sorry, I wasn't being literal. I expect that there are white LX autos in the pipeline, but it seems that delivery is still months away. I find it odd that they would delay production of a color that stands out so well on a dealer's lot.

I don't put much stock in cars.com as I have found that a lot of dealers list cars they do not have just to cast a wider net for customers.

 

I suppose they probably run cars in batches of color. We are getting a Modern Metal and all the vin numbers I find around the one I am assigned are the same color.

 

That is correct, they build the cars in batches of the same color. Full production of Black, Silver, Red and Modern ?Steel have Ben underway for months. A few Aegean Blues are starting to be built, but still no Whites, Purples or Yellow cars have been built in regular production.

Your modern Steel EX-L CVT is one combination that can be found, but an LX in White is not.
No EX 6MTs yet either.

EDIT: just Today, 5 white Orchid Pearl cars showed up on cars.com. Two consecutive serial number sets. One is an LX number 9496 and this is the highest serial number yet.

Expand your search radius to include Hawaii. 4 of the White cars are for Honda Windward in Oahu Hawaii.

It is interesting that this dealership in Hawaii shows 54 incoming cars and no other dealer in the country comes close. This is the dealer that I have ordered my car thru. The other 2 dealers in Oahu show 21 and 29 incoming cars each and again this is more than most other dealers nationwide.

 

Wow, and your paying $200 to fly over to p/u the car. Using the ferry back? Too bad Island Honda couldn't compete. They must be too hungry and marking them up like mad!!!!
