If you don't mind telling, how much did the wheel set you back?

Was the leather wrapped steering assembly difficult to install? Looks kind of imposing with the frame and considering all the wiring and stuff in the steering mounted controls....

Looks good is that 5% in the rear and 20% on the front windows?

That's exactly right. well it may be 30% in the front. it's either 20 or 30% I can't recall but the rear is 5%. I thought of going a little lighter in the rear but the tinting place showed me the next step lighter you could see in the car pretty easily. I didn't want anyone to be able to see into the back. It does make seeing out the back a little less easy. But its manageable.

Nice ill be doing the same percentages when I get my WOP. It helps the black/contrast and looks much better. Plus saves your interior from sun damage.

wiring was pretty easy. all the connectors are different sizes so you cant mix them up on reinstall. Hardest part was getting the courage to pull apart some of the trim like the radio/cruise switches. All in all I'd give it a 4 out of 10 as far as difficulty of repair.

Cool! Since you work for Honda, are you able to get part numbers for the Japanese Fits? I'm looking for this shift knob off the Fit RS. japanparts.com has it, but it has orange stitching. I'm looking for black stitching, like in the pic.

I think the photos I posted show it enough. It's just the stock spoiler on all US GK fits.

Darn. I messaged a guy on ebay that sells JDM parts, and he said this orange stitching version is the only one he can get:

From looking up the part number, this one appears to be for the GE Fit RS that came out around 2010 or 2011. Every GK RS I've seen has the black stitched knob like I'm looking for. I guess the spare parts just aren't out for those cars yet. All the Japanese part sites have diagrams for the GD and GE, but no GK.

I wouldn't kind the orange stitching especially if I can get my hands on the matching armrest and front and rear RS seats.

Arrgh. I envy you for being in a state that allows this. Here in Georgia we're not allowed better than 32% anywhere on the car, and obviously no tint whatsoever anywhere on the windshield. For SUVs and vans, all but the front windows can be tinted as dark as you want but only 32% is allowed on those front windows as with other vehicles. I'm so annoyed that SUVs and vans get this concession while my car doesn't. I have the same basic window configuration as an SUV, the only difference being that my car is smaller. So I wonder if the only somewhat larger crossovers also qualify for the more favorable rules.

Anyway, I just got my windows tinted this weekend as well, and same with every other car I've had tinted, I always drive away from the tinting place looking at my not-very-dark windows, wishing I could have gone darker. 32% just doesn't keep out enough of the heat and allows too much to be seen from the outside.
