Buds, let's interpolate the results given your personal envirionment.

25.3 in New York traffic, a/c on, partner on the passenger seat.

IMO, that's decent mileage for NYC driving. If you wanna record the 40+ mpg that other GK owners are experiencing then drive to the "BIG" states like Texas and CA. Highways galore and you'll be happy with the result.

As long as you feel accomplished, MPG results will be secondary and life for you will go on. Secure, and, hell, it will beat most in the same conditions. Think positive and the purchase will be likewise!!!

I bought the car when I moved to Florida. I guess I forgot to change my profile. I live in a small town on the Gulf Coast.

I've noticed its very easy to cheat the computer in this car, as coasting into a freeway exit from a half mile back will easily make my 35MPG number jump to the high 30's (even though 1/2 mile shouldnt affect the average number by much since its only 1/160th of my drive). Maybe the car, during that coasting period, is reading at 150MPG or something, so 150MPG/ 0.5 mile + 35MPG/79.5 miles = 39/40+?
Dunno.
There was a whole thing with the avg mpg readout being whacked in second generations. I noticed when I got the software fix it became MUCH tighter, going down a LOT faster than going up. The way I drive my 2012, I can average 31, suburbs. On the highway with a reset I can shoot up to 39 easily. The question I'm curious about is not coming from a car that got 19 mpg, but how the 2015 really compares to a second generation. Only Fit owners in that category can say for sure.

How many gallons of gas are you putting in each tank?

What is the furthest anyone has emptied the gas tank? I got down to one notch and then filled up the tank with 8.5 gallons of fuel. Doesn't the tank hold 10.6 gallons?

First fill up! Filled up with two notches on the gauge, range remaining around 40 miles, and it took 8.1 gallons.

Computer calculated 35.9mpg, actual was 34.1.
Was about 75% short-trip in-town driving, 15% 70mph highway, and 10% 50mph rural roads. Eco-mode off and A/C on about 50% of the time.

Pretty happy, but hope the computer and reality sync up better in the future.

Wondering the same thing. I've only fueled up once since leaving the dealership with a full tank. Usually I drive until I absolutely need to refuel. Car told me I had about 23 miles left, but I only was able to top off with 8.2 gallons.

I watched a thing on the news once, American cars are programmed to act like they are out of gas waayyyyyy before they really are. There have been experiments to prove it. I guess we are too stupid to gas up in advance that we need it to be on empty before we do it!!

Press the stalk above the display lightly and it will cycle through the display modes. Pressing and holding the stalk resets the trip odo.

There's a little knob on the dash in the upper right. Press it to cycle through Trip A/Trip B mileage and Avg MPG, Range and oil life. Press and hold on Trip A or B to reset the trip odometers (and the Avg MPG for those odometers).

My first fill up after the dealer tank was with one notch left, and it held 8.368 gal. My range left on the one notch was 15 miles.

I would be too chicken to take the range down to zero in the Fit, with its small tank.

On the first tank, I averaged 33 mpg. I chalk that up to a lot of sitting and idling with the AC on during test drives, delivery, etc.

On my second tank, I'm averaging 36.6 mpg with a mix of hwy/city driving, with the AC on. (And I'm a pretty aggressive driver, ahem). I'm quite pleased with that. My trip averages are in the high 30's low 40's depending on the drive mix.

In my GE8 the mpg didn't go up till the first oil change. After that I noticed a few MPG gains.

On first tank still, and have about 1/2 tank left. Bought car on 20th of June. Now, figure this out guys/gals.

Yup, I don't drive far. Everything for me is very close by including the beach.

I love seeing those mileage numbers! And seeing your fuel ticket also makes me appreciate the local gas prices. I paid $ 3.30 for regular last Friday.
