So far, both visors fell off on our 2015 Honda Fit. Aside from that, nothing bad after 2 weeks.........

My steering wheel has a small gap between the plastic and the wheel. It wouldn't bother me so much if it wasn't in front of my eyes and hands all day. Does anyone else have a gap like this between the decorative plastic grill and the silver plastic?

Best to go to see another EX-L to ascertain its not normal for that spacing. Hopefully one of the EX-L owners on FF can send you pics to further confirm.

If yours is a "one-off", since its a bother and the car is new, use the warranty and the dealer will surely order a replacement. Wouldn't mind inheriting your OEM leather covered wheel!!!
Good luck and post the developements.

39.6 MPG so far??? Way to go!!!

Mine has a tiny gap....which I wouldn't have noticed if not for this thread. Mine might be a bit smaller? but it's not a one-off and could be the design?

I thought you were talking about the silver Honda emblem at first. It looks like it's been installed a bit to the right. Note the uneven gap distance near the lower right especially. That would drive a good friend of mine crazy, but I'd probably just live with it.

My EX has just the SMALLEST gap in the bottom left corner of where you're talking about. It's seriously less than 1mm and I wouldn't have even noticed it unless you said anything. Yours doesn't seem to be normal.

I have a 2008, and it sucks pretty bad. When I go under those overpasses on the freeway it CUTS off literally for the duration of the underpass. Sucks. Otherwise sounds good.

I just found another picture of the steering wheel on hondatuningmagazine.com and the steering wheel plastic grill has a similar gap, but on the left side. I'll see if the dealer will order me a new wheel. Thanks for the advice guys.

Mine has a tiny gap at the bottom. You could have them just remove it if it bothers you, I doubt they'll give you a whole new wheel!

If anything they will remove it, align and re-assemble. I have removed the wheel on my GE, all those parts are separately screwed to the steering wheel frame.

Wow, that is a nit-pick!

When I'm driving I don't spend much time looking at the steering wheel!

In some ways, it serves Honda right for producing a steering wheel with all that fru-fru. What purpose does that bit of screen serve?

I'd be fine with them just adjusting the wheel I have so that the plastic is centered.

I tend to drive with my hands gripped around the bottom of the wheel, now more than ever now that I have no functional armrest, resting my elbows on the seatback and my hands curled up around the wheel. My fingers will often find that gap and it annoys me.

I was wondering that...if you can just fix it yourself, that seems like the way to go.

Seems like there are a lot of small problems so far, but most of them seemingly isolated, and nothing more than what you'd expect from a new car being produced by a new plant. The main question is whether Honda will be able to get a consistent handle on these problems.

Just throwing this out there, but ANYTIME you have an issue at a Honda dealership and you had a repair order (RO) created for it and feel you didn't get taken care of CALL AMERICAN HONDA and they will make the dealership take care of it.

As for quality issues the dealership I use to work at and where I bought my fit old co-workers told me they had multiple fits where AMH sent quality inspectors to check out these fits that showed up with a bunch of body issues that had to be repaired before selling but where documented first for feed back to the new factory in Mexico.

Noticed some of the door seal was not attached. Right where the A pillar makes the turn to the roof, it's completely detached for a few inches.
Found it because the bottom gasket along the door was completely filled with water after a heavy downpour. Felt along the door seal, and there it was.

Now to decide if I should glue it myself or take it to the dealer. Feels very silly to take it to the dealer for something like that, but they gotta make it right!

New White LX MT three days ago. Only major issue I noticed was the front passenger door stuck out a mm or so (like op) and the drivers is flush. Doors did not rub like op's. Think I heard small vibrations from that door at 70 mph, like the trim rattling or something. I like the car.

Was looking at my steering wheel I have the same gap as OP

Not really a big deal to me guess you could go to the dealership and look at others to see if issues with your own are the same on others.

Test drove a GK today.

Did not have gap on that trim in steering wheel.

But then....who in their right mind notices that in the first place.

Thanks for the heads up A cursory check of the driver's door revealed the same unattached gasket in the identical spot. I'll check all the gaskets when I have more time Do I ask for a repair or replacement of the gasket? No wonder i hear more wind noise than I think I should. Love the car though.
