Quality Issues with new Fit
From an Autonews.com article, quoting a representative of Honda:
That doesn't sound like "state of the art" to me.

Honda is trying brand new manufacturing processes that are supposedly "state of the art". The plant is still automated and uses robotics as well as human labor. Part of the reason there is less automation now is because the plant doesn't build everything on site. The Mexican CVT plant next door is still under construction. Just because there is Mexican labor being used doesn't mean the process has regressed technology-wise.
Isn't impressive at all? You obviously never owned a (G)overnment (M)otors POS

Many recalls from Toyota, GM, Ford if you haven't noticed. Look at the car reviews of all the other cars before you make comments like that. 2015 Fit has just arrived so give it some time to see what develops
I have the same gap at the bottom of my steering wheel. I didn't notice it until I saw the photo. EXL NAV Red. I found one scratch to metal and some smaller scratches above the drivers door got touchup paint from dealer.
I've owned 3 GM vehicles and they have been generally very good. One, a 1994 Silverado (which I still own), has been the best vehicle I've ever owned. I know a lot of people don't like GM, but my experience has been good.
My 2010 Fit, which has been a fun car to drive, has not impressed me very much when it comes to being problem-free. I currently have an intermittent buzzing/groaning noise when the car shifts gears (that the dealer has been unable to locate) and several rattle issues. Because of these issues, plus the excessive road noise, I'm not sure I'd buy another Fit.
I kid, I kid!
Passenger airbag off light fixed itself, so today the TPMS light came on to keep me occupied. Since the tires were refreshed at the dealer last Wednesday, we'll see what happens when I check them when cold in the morning. Hopefully if's another warning light that's temperamental. If not, it's back to the dealer for the second time in 6 weeks. It's annoying in what is supposed to be a make renowned for its reliability, and especially since I chose not to go crazy and buy a BMW so I wouldn't have to go to the dealer all the time.
Reading the manual, I think I answered myself. They didn't tell me to recalibrate the TPMS in light of them adding air to the tires. We don't drive much, so I suspect I just noticed the light today...close to the end of a drive that would have been ideal for recalibration! If the pressures are okay we'll just have to look at the light for a couple weeks until we drive 30 minutes between 30-60. In fact I can't think of a route we'll take without lights where that will happen.

I don't think that the calibration has to be all in one driving session.
Palm Harbor took my car in on an urgent basis, but found only the passenger front tire low. Apparently that's what triggered the TPMS and it was not that low. Nothing apparent causing a leak, and the other tires were fine. So either I have a crap tire gauge or I used it wrong (which I doubt).
Hopefully I won't have any more nuisance issues and the car will behave. At least I know to throw air into the tire without worrying too much about it having an inherent problem.
I scolded the car and told it to remember it's a Honda!

Winter, the tire pressure may go low enough to trigger the low air pressure icon (Normal). Contracts in cold weather. Happened to me a few times. Just fill up soon as possible. If tire pressure gauge gives you a warning in the summer months, its either the dealer did not put enough in at time of purchase, or you have a slow leak. Just keep an eye on this by checking every few days with a good tire pressure gauge.
Thanks, SR45. Front passenger tire was low, and they were all checked and topped up last Wednesday when I got my tint and had them look at the illuminated passenger airbag off light. So less than a week it was low. Hopefully if was tech error and not slow leak, but I'll know soon enough.
Won't happen with this version of TPMS, since the tires all gain and lose pressure together. This version looks for one wheel turning slightly faster than it used to, as compared to the other three.
