Anyone have any more info on the highbeams along with the Foglights. I was trying to follow the pictures that someone posted but can't seem to figure it out.

Great tutorial, very easy to follow and a simple project.

The wire you need to cut is on the top of the clip, the second one in from the left. The photo has a little of questioning to follow, but makes sense if you read carefully!

just make sure you grab the right 10 amp fuses! I grabbed ones that were a little bigger. same price, just an extra trip to auto zone.

So glad these photos are still around. Will tackle this soon. One question: I read j5ive's DIY on this and he mentioned grounding the white/red wire coming from the fog relay in the fuse box. Does anyone know this does?

I completed this mod today, it was very easy and took maybe 30minutes.

it cost me just eleven dollars. 7 bucks for the fuse-tap and 4 for a few 10a fuses.

I had a 12” length of wire which was more than enough, and I used solder-seal but connectors I also had on hand.

based on an earlier post in this thread I used the empty fuse slot #2 instead of removing the 10a fuse and tapping into #3.

#2 is still ignition switched. I like that much better than sharing #3.

Why use foglights?

A driver uses the foglights when driving through fog - the position of the light and the color of the light make all the difference. Mounting lights as low as possible helps prevent the fog from reflecting back to the driver. Using the lemon yellow color, not white or amber, actually "cuts" through the fog more increasing visibility. Just look at the French, France gets so much fog that lemon yellow fog lights are required on all french made cars AND they are operated and turned on/off independently from all other headlights.
