Nice! The higher reving K20a2 will make up for the less torq, kind of. What are you doing with your old block?

just called Hasport to talk about the harness that i need them to make... and they responded by telling me NOT to do this swap if its my daily driver!!! I'm so upset right now... I had strong hopes that i could tackle this task with all the resources that i have.

Sighs... i think im just gonna forget what he said and still continue on my journey.

why is hasport trying to talk Fit owners out of doing the Kswap? If im not mistaken they told Felix that it was not posible to swap a auto to K20.

Glockbag I would not worry about it. There are a few guys that daily drive K swapped Fits. You should not have to many problems

jpax drove his from hasport in arizona back here to washington and drove it daily for 3 years, 2 of which it was supercharged. He sold it to a guy who still drives it. He didnt have any problems pretaining to general maintanance.

wonder what their deal is with turning away people?

I would have to agree with this. Putting a larger motor in a car that wasnt meant for it ia going to break a lot of things. I used to have an eg civic with h22 hence the name previc..... anywho the thing used to break axles constantly. I wasnt getting cheap axles wither i was running driveshaft shop stage 3 axles.

I went to hasport cause i live here in az and asked them about it and they said the angle of the axles are killing them. I had hasport mounts as well. They just told me that was common for that motor. I did some research and they were right. Most of the people that had this swap had axle problems.

The automotive manufactures do a ton of research and development to get these cars running the way they do. By altering in any way can potentially lower the lifespan of the vehicle.

I think thats why hasport says that. Ill be diing this swap to my car when my motor blows from high boost. And i will be boosting it as well. Already got the ok from the wife. Lol and ill be dd ing it. Im not one to park a car. If u have seen my car u would be surprised that i do dd it.

thanks guys, i really need to do this swap no matter what anyone says, I have 145k miles on the fit, and the clutch isn't doing so hot.

I've invested about $3k into this swap, and im not about to turn back now.

You will need to do something custom. The shop will need your car to be able to moch up the header and it will probable any where up to $1k to have done.

use the compressor that goes with the motor you are using, if you have k24a2, use the compressor that comes on that motor, if you have a k20a2 or k20z3, use the compressor that comes on that motor, you will need ep3 sump lines to work with the fit condensor

New to the forum, just had a few questions for the K20 guys. I've done some snooping through fitfreak and k20a.org and I can't figure out why is it that hasport is the only rout we have for a legit k20 harness? Has anyone used the hybridracing harness and had everything work, CORRECT?

I know there are a lot more advanced electronics, immobilizers etc with the new ecu's. But at one point (early 90's) it seemed more people were geared towards the d.i.y. rather than have companies do all the work. Call me old fashioned or just OLD lol.
