K20 Fit How To Discussion
uh oh!!!! dying to see this monster lol
I'm not competing on any circuits yet..... So Busy with the New shop. Finally found time to pull the motor and get this thing done!
Feels real strong! Dyno is 9/22/09!

After the tune on Tuesday I will keep you all posted! I'm hoping for 235hp to the wheels as my goal...... we'll see!
Dyno Tuned the k24/k20 frank today....
224hp peak / 188 ft.lb tq. (Final 220.8hp / 189.4 tq) More Mid-range power on this Tunned Map.
When I get the digital of the graph i will post that up.
Jeff Evans from Evans Tuning - EFI Tuning Specialists, says that if I remove the restrictive Fit Exhaust and put on a 3" and open up the "intake plenum volume" (Make an extender box) for flow efficiency, I should be able to squeeze out another 15-25 whp!
So, in the next couple of weeks to come I'll have that done and I'll be dyno'ing again. My goal was 235 whp, and I'm so close!

gettinafit: did you have to upgrade the suspension for the k20? just coilovers? or something custom?
I'll keep you posted as to when it is off. Prob in the next week or two!
Yup, that was the untuned Baseline as I bought the car to Jeff Evans. I was on the money pretty much. I figured that before any tuning started, I was at about 200whp. (196 was close to my guess-timate).
It was the final tune number that got to me a little bit 220whp.... , so that's why I'm out for more HP on just a couple of those little things that my Midas Shop can handle no problem..... like CUSTOM MANDREL 3" EXHAUSTS!! hehehe
I'll be keeping everyone updated with the "(after tuning session 1)" graph when I get the chance to scan it. It has the baseline and the after tune mapped overlayed on the same graph. You can really see the gains and the magic of Kpro and a professional tuner!
