next 3 years ill be upgrading into the EP3 motor... weak but a lot of potential in a Fit, and also keeping a low budget swap...

it makes for an awesome weekend/project car, like if you found one with a salvage title cheap and started tuning it just imagine the possibilities, strip out the inside, limo tint the windows and add a whole bunch of jdm goodies with a K20 you would have one wicked sleeper

So guys I've been thinking about doing the swap too but I have some questions that still linger in my head. Alright which way in you guys' opinion would be great, ITB the K20 swap or turbo it or do both? The Fit is my dd and I know cali has some stinking rules about how loud a car can be. So what do you guys think? Thanks

ITBs are strictly for N/A setups. I think some exotic setups can be boosted but you'd have to link every horn to a common intake to push the boost through.

I know, but what I was wondering about was whether it would be wise for me to do an ITB setup on a daily driver. Because if it is, I will wait until I get another car and make the Fit a project car. Because so far the Fit is my dd and I am selling my 328i.

Hehehe ITBs would be wild on the street. Loud as hell and the idle is generally higher. No way your gonna be low-key with an ITB setup on the road. I've never driven an ITBed car but I've read that taking off in first and in hills and such would require a bit more effort.

Sarcasm? Well thats why I am reluctant about getting it and asking questions so I will make the right decision.

I know it won't be low key because I saw some videos with ITB setup and its super loud. I have no problems about hills because I don't live anywhere near hills, but maybe small slopes lol. But maybe I will just go with a K series swap and leave it as it is.

It would be really cool to be in a traffic jam with ITBs and a heavy clutch. haha You'd be reving the hell out of the car just to move a bit forward, very race-car-like

it's nice and smooth...at the end of the day...itbs is only as good as your tuner....so if you find a good tuner...idel will not be a problem.

new K20 swap intake

Hey my name is gerry sica from PRM Welcome to PRM Racing - Jet Stream Intake System i'm looking for
a test car for a K20 swap intake system, this system will work really well
with this car because its a straight shot from the throttle body to the hole in the fender.
we have a new open end filter that i would use on this kit.
the air extracted from the fender well is totally ambient ( cold ).
no worries about ran- sounds awesome-looks great-makes power.

let me know what you guy's think !!!
check out; New intake coming soon thread, in the Mod.section.

gerry
