I find revving my car to about 3-4k revs sounds really nice.
I'll see what I can do.

I just want to share my feedback the filter upgrade I did on my 1.3 i-DSI Jazz.

Pros:
1) Increased throttle response. This is expected since the air intake is less restrictive.

2) Increased power on Low, Mid and High RPM range.

3) Lower gas consumption. If I don't go over 3,000 RPM.

Cons:
1) Since the response is great, I get tempted to go faster than usual so sometimes I consume too much gasoline . Not to mention that I also go over the speedlimit . Other than that, I don't see a downside to it yet.

Actual picture of my filter:

so how much gas can you waste on this car??? hheheehe since it's save so much already

I don't know already. Have 2 or 3 mods that might affect my calculations. But when I first installed it, I noticed a slight drop on the consumption after the 2nd week (the first 2 weeks I ran the car hard because I liked the response).

Hey Ken (lol same name as me)

Anyway, I just checked my engine and it seems like it is pretty much the same layout as my 1.2L(L12A) Jazz.

Is your K&N kit state that it'll only fit the 1.4L models? Cos I was thinking of just changing the filter, however looking at the picture of your engine compartment, it seems it is exactly the same layout as my 1.2, so it's got me intrigued.

Ordered the K&N panel filter for the '04 1.5L Jazz. 1st shipment to Australia sitting in port so will be available in a couple of weeks.

Always had good experiences with K&N panel filters on previous bikes and cars.

Can't see why the K&N pod filter kit wouldn't fit the 1.2L. Just that the 1.2L Jazz isn't sold in a lot of markets (UK & South Africa from memory).

The pod kit is 57-0602. Installation instructions: http://www.kandn.com/instructions/57-0602.pdf.
Has anyone tried the panel filter compared to the OEM filter yet?

Got the K&N panel today and it doesn't fit. The panel filter is for the '05 facelifted model only. The pre '05 has a narrow rectangular filter as opposed to this one which has a diagonal on one corner and is squarer.

Actually, just checked a photo of my engine, it's a bit different.

Would it still fit? The filter for my car is basically pretty much a rectangular/square.

This is the K&N panel

Take the clipped down top off your airbox and compare the shape of the filter. If its just a rectangle then it is not going to fit.

is there a part number for the jazz k&n panel filter?

Mines is basically a square shaped one. dimensions are roughly 40-50mm(h)x210mm(L)x150mm(w)

The K&N website is very good. Part number for panel filter is 33-2872.
http://www.knfilters.com/search/appsearch.aspx
Product Box Length: 9.88 in (251 mm)
Product Box Width: 7.63 in (194 mm)
Product Box Height: 1.81 in (46 mm)
See picture posted above re NOT square but has diagonal on one corner

Only other option from K&N is a pod filter.

a real shame .

Was hoping to not use a pod filter since my friend told me that putting that little duct will suck in crap into my engine and what not
