I currently use the SPF Intake from HKS, but am going to switch to the RS in a few months after I change the ignition box and the front clip. The SPF (Super Power Flow) runs for about $130 US and the RS (Racing Suction) runs for about $600, but you need to run an oversived pick up tube. At the moment that doesn't look too feasable.

Got that Spoon Sports panel filter as pictured by kentris.

All I can say is its an awesome improvement over my dirty stock filter. Better idle, faster reving, less throttle required for the same speed across the entire range and better takeoff with the CVT.

An uncovered (not boxed in the engine bay) airfilter is a defectible modification in New South Wales, Australia. If your vehicle has such a modification and is involved in an accident the insurance company does not have to pay out and can void your policy (they'll still keep your premium though). You would also be liable for any damage to other people, vehicles or property even if the accident wasn't otherwise your fault. Police can also issue you with a defect notice and fine you. A pod would be great for the racetrack just not public roads. I personally won't drive an uninsured vehicle.

Has no impact on warranty except if its shown to have caused problems or failure of other components. Quite unlikely.

In most if not all other countries I'm sure insurance companies won't void policies for such modifications and authorities wouldn't defect a vehicle for such a minor modificiation.

Authorities here think if they focus on trivial things like this it will take attention away from all the serious issues which they refuse to address as it boosts their performance statistics and gives the public illusion that they are doing something ("taking the dangerous hoons off the streets").

Pivot Raizen is available in a kit with ground wires or just by itself. Besides that kit my current wires were custom made from Audison cable by the car audio installer FHRX Studios.

The Pivot Raizen with ground wire kit sells in Australia for around A$150.

Hi Ken,

Sorry for the very late reply. I'm getting married this April so I'm juggling work, wedding preparations, maintaining my baby Jazz and my next project with the car.

I will try to get the recording this week.

Btw, the crap getting in the engine is negligable. The stock air filter actually is worse in terms of filtration.

Ralph,

In the Philippines, yes they will void the warranty. You can easily change it back when you're having it serviced.

Hw's the sound, power, and fuel consumption

Question back again

I finally decided to screw my warranty and install a k & n filter. What is better a K & n filter with a simota tube or should I go all K & n??

I heard Simota is better than K&N.

HKS do one as well.

Pros:
1) Increased throttle response. This is expected since the air intake is less restrictive.

2) Increased power on Low, Mid and High RPM range.

3) Lower gas consumption. If I don't go over 3,000 RPM.

Cons:
1) Since the response is great, I get tempted to go faster than usual so sometimes I consume too much gasoline . Not to mention that I also go over the speedlimit . Other than that, I don't see a downside to it yet.

Actual picture of my filter:

I own a Honda City 2005 I also want to change my intake and exhaust system would these further improve my mileage. Where can I also buy filter system and exhaust
