T1R Turbo Kit
Well you can compare second gear. The second take off after the turn is 1st gear redline and into second gear til redline. That's where you can compare to your own car in second gear. Yea the quality sucks. I don't have a great camera to do everything in. Video quality sucks and sound sucks. Way better in person and I don't think you can capture that sound on tape.
so all in all what am i looking at here in terms of price?
for the T1R Turbo Kit with all neccesary equipment to run it healthy at 6psi??
and is this something that an experienced mechanic can install??
or is any special quipment required to install the T1R turbo?

i saw your youtube dyno, you should post up the results here!
what other mods do you have blue?

This was done with axle back Tanabe Touring.
Just got Aspec Bpipe on, needs retuned for 8psi. I also have Greddy turbo timer and greddy boost gauge for now.
blue: whoa! nice results! i'm rocking an a/t, but i guess since you are posting up whp numbers greater than what ben and aj's has it rated for, the same whould hold true for the auto if i was running an exhaust as well?(well, an axle back and b pipe that is.)
you are pushing 6psi though, i thought the kit was pre-mapped to only do 4-5? its not plug and play then huh? gotta get it tuned?

Different elevation/climate...CA runs colder than Texas, so I had to get it retuned to make the powerband more smooth. That dyno right there was very smooth compared to one of my first ones.
:Edit: Oh and I don't know if it's actually set at 4.5psi because mine was set at 6psi. I think he lowered it to do a precaution for nooblets like me who's blown the turbo.(Must MUST be broken into before any hard driving, mine was put on the dyno after about 30 miles of driving)

is it tuned for exhaust mods, i.e. will having a cat back and/or header throw off the kit? is it made just to bolt up and not needing a tune, just a break in period?
ah good point. i'm def one of those nooblets. but even so, at 4.5 psi, 135 whp with no other mods other than the turbo is great, and even better than what the kraftwerks kit was doing at 5psi with no other mods.

You can run it without a fine tune. The pretune is good enough to let you ride but not get the power that you'll want. It comes with a turbo manifold so there's no need for aftermarket header and its a cat delete. If you get a bpipe and muffler, I do suggest you tune it because it may run lean. If just the muffler then it should be fine. Break in period safe for me is 500 miles, but thats just me.
ah ok. so the 135 hp to the wheels claim is just the turbo bolted on with no other mods. i see. sorry about the header question, i've been stuck on superchargers for the last few months, so i got used to including that as a necessary mod when going f.i.
so its a cat delete huh? its ok, i wasn't planning on passing emissions...btw, since you live in cali, whats the worse that can happen, not getting the 'passed' sticker and getting a ticket pretty much?
and thanks for the advice on the muffler. if i go this route, i may just get the axle-back, and wait on the b pipe when i have money for a tune.
dam dude ima bout to buy this kit. sounds like your enjoying your turbo a lot.
my plans are to boost no more then 8lbs safely aswell. but im going to use the 3 inch exhaust with a electric cut out
yeah i have decided being a hell of a lot quicker is much better then being nice looking.
