the cel is a non issue. i got that light and talked to ben about it. its the code for the barometric pressure circuit. i was told to ignore the light for now as it doesnt affect performance but ben is working on a fix for the plug.

I would recommend an oil cooler to go with the kit.

Turbo timer would be a good idea too, unless you wanna sit in your car for a few minutes after you arrive at your destination...I hear Sumo is pretty good at that haha

the only crappy thing about having a turbo timer is that you cant lock your car until it turns off.

If you get a remote starter that has a turbo timer feature, then you can get out, lock the doors with the remote and the car will run for about 2 minutes or so and then automatically shut off and make sure the doors are locked.

I've been on the fence with the T1R kit.. I want it, but the KWSC kit sounds appealing with the 10psi highboost/hondata option.

Recommended things to get, Turbo Timer, Air/Fuel Gauge, Boost Gauge, and some Oil temp/pressure gauges. Oil cooler is not needed unless you are constantly boosting like tracks. I live in Texas and it's hot here. That CEL is barometric pressure reading. I get it on and off. Its just the sensor in the intake manifold thats saying AHHHHH TOO MUCH AIR lol. Otherwise it doesn't affect anything.

You can boost the T1R to 10psi, just need to change the fuel mapping.

I like the stock alarm and don't really wish to get a new one. I'd just want to modify it so it locks when the timer goes off or I can lock it manually when I get out of the car. Anyone have any clues on that?

i am going to try a few things tomorrow with an override on the connection between the locks and the ignition. might make the car less safe from thieves though.

I have a question. does vtec still work with the cel on??? i thought that when the check engine comes on that it runs in limp mode which is without vtec... or at least thats what i thought. and if so would it run faster with the cel off??? If someone could inform me that would be great. im debating whether i should get this kit or not.

yea. vtec works. the cel is called a soft warning. its not detrimental to the engine so it doesnt run in "limp mode". i just bought a barometric pressure circuit from an acura rdx so i am going to see if that works. if it does, then problem solved.

Its quotes like this that make me wanna change my mind and go T1R over KWSC...

Sounds like both kits have had their fair share of glitches...

I have a manual and no oil cooler. Had my kit on since April. No signs of oil leaks yet.

maximizing your stock cooling system should be ok for day to day driving (unless your in heavy heavy stop and go trafic)
