I'm really getting curious to see how much power I'll be able to make...

If GD3kamiwanaB is making 174whp @ 9-10psi with the HKS kit on a dynojet, and I am seeing 158whp @ 5.8psi un-tuned with the T1R kit on a mustang dyno and at higher elevation... how much more will another 4psi make me!!!! I guess I'll also see if my stock fuel system holds me back as well... I'd be happy with 20whp increase. I'm getting tuned on a Dynojet this time around too, so I'll have comparable dyno data

7 DAYS AND COUNTING!!!

who cares about number our mustang dyno puts down low numbers anyways
So I didnlt bother put it on dyno
I just change computer from blue emanage to emange ult and 9 psi but kind of scared to run it at full boost for a long time
but its alot faster even on AT

Actually I care. You are pretty much running what I plan on running in a week. I suppose your auto numbers won't be a proper comparison to what I'll be running, but it would be good to know how you are running and what you are putting down and with what upgrades. I did my first dyno baseline on a mustang dyno too. Yes, the numbers are lower, but just add 10-12% more to that number and that is what you'd see if you were on a Dynojet.

So did you not get your car tuned on a dyno after going to 9psi? How do you know you are running safe AFRs? Did you get the 8.5psi map from Ben at AJR, swap the emanage and wastegate spring?

I got the 8.5 psi map from Ben, but I am going to have it properly tuned on a dyno. The base 6psi map was WAY too lean on my car and if I didn't realize that the AFRs were that bad I'd probably have blown something by now.

This is exactly what I'd like to know.. good question.

GD3kamiwanaB is running 9-10psi with 174whp. (HKS kit)

FELIX69 is running 9psi with ???whp. (T1R auto kit)

JDMChris is running 12psi with ???whp (KWSC kit)

I'll have my numbers in a week... I'll be boosting between 9-11psi, T1R manual trans kit.

Any info is very valuable, especially to someone like me who is going to increase boost levels. To be properly prepared and know what to expect is priceless IMO. The last thing I want to do is go in blind and come out with a blown motor cause I didn't learn and research as much as I could've before hand.

If you're already running 9psi, there won't be much difference between 9 and 10psi.

You're reply really made me worried as to why you would say something like that... Did you blow your motor or tranny?

what is the t1r man. trans . kit? you might need a new clutch for the more power layed down. at what point do you need to upgrade the octane points when upping your boost? i know you need to run 92 for the t1r kit @5.7 lbs. will you eventually need to jump up in octane points as your boost increases to prevent detonation?

T1R makes a manual transmission turbo kit, and a automatic transmission turbo kit.

The auto kit made about 10whp less than the manual transmission kit.

If you have your car properly tuned to 91 or 92 octane then you should be fine. If you just increase boost without properly tuning then running a higher octane could help, but its not the proper way of doing it.

The manifold would probably help a fair amount.. It just depends on how far you want to go with your car. I'm gonna stick with what my car gives me after I get tuned. I don't want to push the limits too far and really reduce the life of my motor in a bad way

Ya, this is my DD. I don't know if the car will do over 200whp with the 310cc injectors and stock fuel pump.

I'll definitely find out what the max is tho, the guys that are tuning my car are top notch and they will try to safely get as much power as possible from my car.

how reliable would say 12lbs from a turbo be? i know jdmchris and his sc is putting that down but a turbo tends to yeild different results when it comes to FI.
i read about skunk2 and their 15lbs fit but how reliable is that considering that only 7lbs more and the fit blows up.
