That's a tough call. I'm pretty sure the Rotrex at 12psi wouldn't put out as much power as a turbo at the same boost level. But that hasn't been proven either way.

They were also tracking their car, so they were driving it probably balls out all the time.

I would say if you did the proper upgrades necessary the car would still be reliable up to 12-15psi. I think it would be WAY too much power... I already have traction problems at 6psi without being tuned..

are you running an lsd or better clutch? i think after my uncle sam check comes in feb i will go with the t1r turbo. i want to run a high flow fuel pump and upgrade the injectors to maybe 440 just as a precaution. i think it would be ideal to give the head a very mild port to increase flow. the fit is my dd too so reliability is my #1 concern too. i will watch your tune with great anticipation.

No LSD yet. No clutch yet either. I intend to purchase the Exedy Stage 2 clutch kit for my car in the spring. I won't be pushing the car hard til the spring anyways since it'll soon snow out here.. LSD is something I'll look into as well in the new year.

I am installing Innovative 75A Mounts when they come in. I ordered them a few weeks back and am just waiting for them to arrive... I think our stock mounts are way too soft... I'm surprised that not more ppl with FI have changed theirs.

the clutch was 550. as for the lsd, it has been nothing but problems. about 6 months ago i had a spoon lsd but the guys at opak racing needed it so they traded me for a set of twin block calipers. then i ordered another one from aj racing but i decided to go with the mfactory one at the last minute and had to pay a restocking fee on the spoon lsd.

the mfactory lsd sounds like a really good product. helical, no maintenance and its designed like an oem one. also wayyyyy cheaper than the clutch type lsd's out on the market right now.

cool cool.. thats a decent price on the clutch.

I agree that the mfactory lsd is the way to go right now... definitely looks like a high quality piece.

yea, i was kind of hesitant because i know the clutch type lsd's are alot more agressive than then helical type but ive come to the conclusion that i want reliability and something i can drive everyday. not a trailer dwelling track queen.

i remember when it came out. someone bought one and they said it was horrible. there were pits in the steel and it had to be repaired before installing.

To hell with buying a new part and fixing it before you even install it.

Yup, I've learned that if you don't buy the best to begin with, you end up wasting money on the cheap stuff, cause you'll end up buying the "good stuff" right after the cheap stuff breaks or causes problems..

As much as I don't like this saying, it still stands very true among tuners.. "You gotta pay to play".

same six psi.

but once i am ready i am going to change my wastegate spring. not a boost controller. every tech that ive talked to and trust about boost controlers vs wastegate springs have said the same thing. boost controler is unreliable and can fail much easier than the wastegate spring.

is everyone rating their cars at crank hp or wheel hp? seems that kelsodeez will only need about 4 or 5lbs more to break the 200 mark.
