NGK V-Power Copper Core. I would go one or maybe two heat ranges colder, depending on how much gap you set them at and the type of driving that you do. I am not sure about the part number, but let me know what it is if and when you find out....I ordered a Kraftwerks system 2 days ago.

Forced Induction & Spark Plugs...

I went thru this awhile ago when I was getting my KWSC installed. Seems everyone on the net recommends going at least 1 step colder from the OEM plugs, problem was (for me at least) what exactly is "1 step colder"?

I made the switch from OEM to NGK Iridium IX (BKR7EIX-11, Stock No. 6988) and have had zero issues that I am aware of since installing them.

Hotter plugs retain heat in the combustion chamber , while a colder heat range plug dissipates heat more rapidly.... Supercharging creates more heat in the combustion chamber than a naturally aspirated induction by adding more air (oxygen) and can require colder heat range spark plugs to prevent pre detonation damage.

Thanks!

What I meant to say was:

"What brand/model # plugs would be considered 1 step colder from the stock OEM plugs?"

I think there's a whole thread floating around here on that.

If you use NGK or Denso spark plugs you will find that the lower the plug number is the hotter the plug and colder plugs will have higher numbers.... I use NGKs with a heat range rating of 8 in a 4.3 G.M.C. V6 that came with spark plugs that cross referenced to a heat range of 6.... I had put a Mallory Hi-Fire ignition box on it and it pinged like crazy until I got the right heat range plugs in it.

I had to step down to colder plugs a week after I had the Kit. I went with NGK's stock No. 6130

Denso IK22 or NGK BKR7EIX are one step colder plugs that should work great in your systems. We will soon be stocking Denso IK22 and IK24 spark plugs.

Be sure that you purchase resistor spark plugs. Non-resistor "race" plugs could cause havoc to your electrical system.

I hope to have some updates on the High-Boost system shortly. We have added content to the system that everyone will be happy to see. We should be able to show you guys WHAT we are doing for the High-Boost very soon!

Hey, if begging helps....

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider a hi-boost A/T kit! I'm sure it can be done as there is currently somebody in FitFreak already doing it.

im thinking that even if they dont make one for the AT specificly, the MT kit could be adapted to work on the AT cars.

Just reading in between the lines perhaps?

OJRKraftWerks stated:
We have added content to the system that everyone will be happy to see.
From the KraftWerks AT page:
With the addition of a Test-Pipe to this kit, the injector upgrade or Hondata Reflash is required.

My super charger is on its way... If anyone that has done their own installation can offer any advice that could be helpful, please feel free to clue me in.... Any advice is welcome and would be greatly appreciated.

take your time especially with bending the brake lines.

there very little room in there as i am sure you already know. you will need to remove the exhaust mani but dont take it out (unless you are planning to wrap it which isn't a bad idea) just put it to the side. remove the top piece of the intake mani as well. i removed the whole thing when i originally installed mine because i was swapping injectors also. This is of course if you are planning on installing the rotrex from the top otherwise you would need to remove the passenger side axle.

don't rush it.

Thank you for your response leonine. I have a very messed up back, so I think I am going to have to remove the axle and crawl under....I looked at the instructions on line and they look pretty good. I am surprised at this time that so many are spending so much to have someone else do the installation..... It's almost like buying a model car and paying someone to put it together for you.
