KraftWerks Supercharger Kit Info v4.0
If you have the "plug n play" Boomslang harness for a 5MT GD3 I will buy it from you.
Regarding TC's water/meth kit, it is not a whole lot of work. Even if it were, the results are worth it for many reasons. Any intercooler will still suffer from heat soak where he lives.
Liquid charge cooling AND a bump in octane make for huge gains compared to the cost and perceived hassle. He will be able to pack in way more air and the ECU will be able to run a much more aggressive timing and fueling scheme
Race gas results for pump prices. They are easy to upgrade as well.

The boomslang will be going with the FI/C when I'm ready to run the standalone .
Buying a Fit?
Hi, new here obviously.
I've been in the market for a new car for awhile as my '98 GTI 2.slow is starting to rust away... I've been thinking about a Fit, and I finally got to drive one (my sister's '09 Sport/MT)and was quite happy with the handling and feel. Lack of power is a problem, lol. I was really considering a brand new one, but I have no interest in turbo, and no SC for the new ones. So I've been reading a LOT of threads on here. Seems the answer would be to buy a used '08 and go with the high boost SC kit. The prices I've seen for used '08 Sport/MT seem to be reasonable plus the price of the kit and I think I'd have a fun car for a payment I could afford. Those of you that have these kits, any reason that doesn't seem like a good plan? Sorry for the long first post, just trying to get real world (people that DD their SC Fits) opinions about the car and the kit. Is the current high boost kit truly plug and play? I'm a professional mechanic so install and maintenance is no problem, but being this would be my DD, I don't really want to have to fiddle around to keep it running well all the time. Thanks for any feedback!!!!

The High boost kit is truly plug and play but you will have to put a cat delete pipe and free flowing axle back pipe on the car at the very least if you want to really feel the power at higher RPM. I went crazy on the exhaust system on my car but not with high dollar stuff though the fabrication of some of the stuff set me back more than I like to admit.. I don't drive very much anymore and have been having problems doing about anything, but the installation wasn't all that bad and the only maintenance in 15000 miles has been a belt adjustment... The the A/F ratio seems a bit rich so I change oil a little sooner than I did with the base kit and before when the car was N/A due to oil dilution fears... The base 5PSI kit will make you smile, is very nice and performs like the car would if factory equipped with it.. The high boost kit will have you laughing insanely as you are watching the speedometer needle climb to 3 figures when passing slower moving cars on 2 lane highways...Front tires don't last very long, fuel mileage averages are just over 30MPG for me and I expect that I will need to install a new clutch long before I would if I had left the car stock. I enjoy the hell out of it.
i was thinking of purchasing the high boost kit within a few monthes maybe a year tops, so everything with the high boost kit seems to enjoy it im seeing lol, as far as problems are there any? and im assuming the reliablity should be top notch, there a very reputable company
Thanks for the input Coyote! Did you buy an off the shelf header and then have a custom cat delete/cat-back made? That sounds awesome. Does the software elminate the MIL for the cat being gone? Or do you run one of those "eliminator" type thing that moves the rear O2 sensor away from the exhaust gas? Again thanks for the info. I found an '08 Sport MT in silver with 52,xxx miles at a local Honda dealer. Seems ready to be supercharged!! Didn't buy it yet, as a brand new one is very tempting, but I really want boost! Decisions....
I bought a Megan header, resonated down pipe, B pipe, an Apexi ehaust control valve, Vibrant resonator and Aero Turbine muffler.. I had to wack off the outlet on the end of the B pipe because it had too small of an opening. I have a spark plug non fouler on the O2 sensor and at this time the CEL has not lighting up... It does at times and so I will use one more non fouler and a wiring extension from Strutmasters when it does it again.
Just want to say that anyone getting this kit should consider getting a good 4-1 header. I just put on a Megan header and the car really breathes and frees up engine's power from like 3k+. The car used to feel weak in that range but now it feels great even with the A/C on with passengers. I also have a bigger b-pipe and aftermarket exhaust, but the header definitely made a big difference especially for highway driving.
Koi I think you may need to install larger injectors if you haven't already and are still using the stock ones.... You may end up running to lean at full throttle at high RPM with that much exhaust flow.... Did Ryan get in touch with you? he wanted to talk to some one in California about their kit and emissions?
Yea someone PM'd me regarding that but I haven't had to do smog yet... not sure what I'll do when the time comes.
I'll have to look into upgrading the injectors, I was thinking I might be starting to run lean with my exhaust setup as you said. Maybe it's time to get a wideband so I know for sure.

You can always pull the plugs and take a reading after a wide open run to determine if you are running lean... It is the old tried and true method all of us old guys relied on to keep from burning valves or tops of pistons... Do you happen to know what your intake air temperatures are or do you not have a scangauge?
search around its on here somewhere. You can buy the kit right from them but you would need to fabricate your own solution for the egr and also tuning a 5th injector.

Doesn't seem like it's ever going to happen. KW is pretty much a dead business with no updates/news, not even an official word on the Oscars leaving the company. Pretty much have to contact Skunk2 if you want to get anything KW related or ask questions.
From what I understand, yes. There is a member on here who got a kit through S2 as they share the same phone # and building
Damm, well that sucks I just bought a s/c kit from a fellow member on here in mint condition with low miles. Was reading this thread started out good with the whole "carb is just around the corner" to kw is dead now
Guess I'll give skunk2 a call and see what's the status on this.

This kit looks great. Not know much on the company being dead & whatnot but my concern is the stock output of the engine. What are its limits? 10psi is possible pushing it? Curious how the numbers would be w/ bolt ons & what not. Anyone have any numbers to show that are around 170-180 w/ a stock engine?
JDMchris says he dynoed at 212HP and I think that is about right.with the exhaust system he has.... I have almost the exact same thing as he does and it has served me well for 22000 miles of which half are with the High boost setup... O to 60 in under 7 seconds with the front wheels spinning up to 45MPH... Hot weather will pull the power down a bit but when it is cool it feels like a rocket in every gear.. Other than having to tighten the belt twice change the oil more frequently because I want to and rotating the tires because the ones on the front tend to wear down when the power is applied I have not had to do anything extra to the car...
