To clarify, high octane fuel meaning 91 octane.

What motor oil should I switch to? and what gap should the Ik22 plugs have?

The Ik22 plugs are pre gapped and oil opinions are like belly buttons.... Like everybody else I have a belly button and oil opinions.... I like Amsoil, Mobile1, and right now am trying out 5W20 Royal Purple..... I hung out one day wth FitFlowjoe who is using Amsoil 0W20, a straight axle back pipe 9 1/2 lb Enkeis with 22 Lb tires a PRM intake and using premium fuel.... His car is N/A and really moves.... OJR told koi that 0W30 was to light for his A/T car with boost but he said it improved the performance.... My car is running stronger than ever since I went to the Royal Purple but I think the cooler weather has more influence than the oil...... I really like Royal Purple, The color is cool and it smells good..... Viscosity has nothing to do with film strength and as long as you have adequate oil pressure using the lower viscosity stuff I can see no reason not to and plenty of reasons to use it.

A high-quality synthetic oil. 10w30 is a good choice. Take a look at Torco oils.

The Denso IK22 plugs are pre-gapped to .8mm. Do not adjust the gap on Denso plugs, they are already gapped to the optimum distance. Also, you risk damage to the small .4mm electrode during gapping.

Anyone here with the A/T KWSC using a Scangauge? If so, can you tell me at what TPS your boost kicks in according to your SG and boost gauge?

Are there any plans in the works for the GE?

Unfortunately, the GE Fit is not on our current kit development schedule.

I couldn't get through on the phone line so I'll try asking here before trying again another day:

My car popped a MIL P1129 (MAP higher than expected) last week. There was no noticeable change to the car and the MIL light turned off, but my Scangauge would not clear the code. Just today my car suddenly got unstable and died much like it would from a vacuum leak - then it wouldn't start up, the idle was extremely rough, etc; eventually the car started running again just fine like there was no problem before - but now the MIL light is on and throwing a P0108 code (MAP voltage higher than expected) along with the P1129 from last week.

So I have 2 questions:

Should I stay out of boost until this problem is fixed? The KWSC supercard is wired into the MAP sensor's connector so if the MAP isn't getting correct readings it probably isn't safe to be boosting at the moment correct?

Secondly, has KW had any issues with the MAP sensor in conjunction with the KWSC before?

I'll be replacing the MAP sensor and seeing if it clears up, but would be good to know what I should do regarding the supercharger/boost. Thanks.

I believe I've had the exact same problem a little while back. Couldn't figure out for the life of me what was wrong but then it just went away and has been running fine ever since. I've had the P0108 code reset everytime I go in for servicing at gettinafit's shop but the CEL just pops back on a few minutes later. Let me know what you come up with Koi, I just deal with the CEL light being on....

Are you using the orginal base kit, or are you on the upgraded base kit?

Have you check the wires on the supercard and map sensor? Try disconnecting and reconnecting the wires / plug. It is odd that you can't clear the codes.

Be sure to email them at support@kraftwerksusa.com

Wave: Yea, the P0108 code is stored and won't clear along with the P1129, but the MIL light is off now and the car runs just like it always does. Nothing seems to be wrong but I already put the order in for a new MAP sensor to see if it clears anything up.

Wytt: I'm using the base kit, this is the first time I've had anything regarding the MAP sensor come up. All wires are good and nothing seems to be wrong - most likely I can disconnect the battery and the codes will clear but at the moment I'm refraining from doing that due to some tests I'm running regarding fuel economy.

Do you have the orginal base kit or the upgraded base kit with the insert in the Rotrex and the "MAP" Stabilizer" (not talking about intercooler nor upgraded feul injectors)? Actually just more curious if you have the MAP Stabilizer or not.

I think I do? I got my kit after that base kit upgrade was released - I have wires spliced into the MAP sensor's connector going to a KW unit that sits next to the supercard. My dyno results showed a curve resembling the earlier boost peak that the upgrade created as well.

Oh okay... I thought you might not have the MAP Stabilizer and that what would have been a solution, but I guess not.

When the car started to act up / threw the code, was it a cold windy day? And did it seem like it idled rougher when there was a cold gust of wind?

so we are STILL having issues with just basic bolt on base kits?

thats depressing...i took i spin in my brother in laws 2006 mini S (which happened to be a/t) and the way that thing pulled is exactly the way i would hope the kraftwerks kit would on the fit (it was the last year of the supercharged versions.)

it was not mind blowing fast, but enough to make things fun and not want to get another car and deal with another payment for the next few years lol.
