Has anyone ever thought about fabricating an intake manifold that has the TB on the other side to reduce charge piping?

wouldn't that amount to more piping than if you just kept the intake manifold the same and made a custom FMIC

actually keepitpig, i dunno if you are going to get SO Much more air from a FMIC than the cowl one kraftwerks makes. the power difference, if in fact there was a benefit to it, would be very minimal, and you probably wouldn't notice it.

plus, you get to keep your fogs, and unlike some subies or mazdas, its not sitting right on top of the engine, so its less prone to heat soak.

The A/C hoses are a bitch to bend without damaging but if you take your time checking and rechecking the clearance between them the pulleys and other surfaces they may be damaged by they shouldn't suffer any damage...... Have you recently adjusted your belt?

ah ok i gotcha.

personally i dont wanna go that route, as the appeal of this kit as oppossed to, say, the tr1 turbo (and to a much lesser extent, the HKS kit) is the plug and playability of it.
