The mount that held the pipe to the frame after bending broke right off from the engine flex. Then the piping just slowly moved its way over to the belt and got grinded at till it left a giant hole in the hose.

I'll take pictures of this over the weeked, my explaination probably sucks

I spent a lot of time bending both my ac and brake lines, i didn't even use any of the supplied brackets, just bent the lines until they were in the right place...it works fine, the lines aren't moving and are in no danger of hitting the sc belt / pulley

Lots Of Beer. How true.... I am not as strong as I once was and found using some 1"X2" boards cut in different lengths as fulcrums and levers useful in bending the tubing..... I was very cautious in being sure to not use more force than necessary and was able to make gradual bends by repositioning the sticks along the length of the tubing while applying force..... Most of the bending still had to be done by hand..... It took me days to complete it and be able to rest assured that all was right before my first drive.....My biggest problem was removing the connectors from the fuel injectors because my fingers were swollen.... After hours of trying I had only gotten one of then off but the next morning I completed the job in about an hour, spent the day rechecking everything and took the first drive that night during a Texas turd floater of a thunderstorm.... Then I drank more beer, or was it mescal?

i thought about going to the hardware store and picking up some wooden dowels to serve the same purpose...I still wish I had...

Hood louvers and water/ methanol is the way I am considering going whether I get an inter cooler or not.... The pressure drop from a front mount I/C and having to still route the intake pipe (insulated or not) into the hot engine compartment to the throttle body and contending with flex at the pipe couplings scares me.... Venting the hood by adding louvers would dramatically lower temperatures under the hood and cool the intake air before it even passes through the air filter even when the car isn't in motion and beaucoup more when it is.... Just a thought.

how have we determined that this makes no noticable difference in air temps?

it at the very least does add power, and it looks good!

i think there is just a tendency for import guys to want to do a front mount intercooler...because it is 'cooler' to them. lol.

I had the ASpec Front Strut bar and I had to remove it for the I/C install. I will be looking for something that fits.

since it doesnt make much of a difference, why not try a front mount? its gonna be cooler, but i wanna see how much.

Meh, I think air to water intercooler or meth injection is the way to go. I dont like how the front mounts fit on the fit.

Who in the world already decided that this IC doesn't make a noticeable difference?

The only thing we've heard is from Aliencowboy that his temperature coming home the day before installing the IC was 180+ F while the next day w/ IC it was 160 F ish.

Everyone should just hold on and see what the official results from KW are regarding temperature differences before & after IC, and the same except with high boost installed as well (since you can expect temps to get even hotter).

Let's not jump the gun by misunderstanding what one person said. It's not like he was measuring temperatures to see the difference anyways, it's just anecdotal.
