Did this just now. Foglights come on with key on (via switch of course) running lights AND with headlights.

All I did was the mod leonine mentioned. Dont have high beams since I have an HID kit though. Finally!! Love it!

First things first.. Thanks a bunch for the write up!

Just a tad confused here..

When you cut the wire, the connector side goes to the 10amp fuse and fuse box.

The other wire goes to GND???

Also, how come you have 2 10amp fuses??

The other half of the red/yellow wire I capped off.
I used the same connector as leonine. The mod only works with both fuses installed.

For those of you that are in Canada...
The "add-a-circuit" costs 14.99 at crappy tire...

Hoping to find another place that sells it for cheaper

Does it buzz when you have the key out of the ignition with the fogs on??

Okay I got it all wired up and everything and tested. It works. But when I hit the high beams, the fogs still turn off..

and it would be nice if it turns off when the key is on "off" position. I want them to turn on when I give it a click. Wonder if I can put the fuse where the radio fuse is.

Yes all you have to do is find a 12v source that turns on when you turn the key to the first position. I used the radio fuse

Great job on figuring out the fog light solution j5ive & leonine

nope,, I meant for it to be OFF on OFF position so I won't have to switch the fog lights off everytime I leave the car.. Just one more thing to do when you have a kid and diaper bags.. =)

Hmm TomiGunz was saying that his fogs won't turn on when his high beams are on?

Also, is there anyway to make it so that the lights inside don't dim when I turn my fogs on?

Yup, just find a fuse location that is ignition switched and you're good. The fogs will turn off with the ignition.

As for the high beams, did you ground the red/white wire at the fog light relay? If you didn't and ONLY followed Leonine's pictured instructions, the relay is still grounded via the low beam in the fog switch. This step is included in my instructions.

hope this helps.

That's what I thought I didn't do. I will have to reread up on that since I don't have any idea where the relay is.

Thanks!

Just added this how-to to my blog. I hope you don't mind Leonine, but I borrowed one of your result pictures. Thanks again man for testing out my suggestion.

Glad i could help. Wouldn't have even though about attempting it without the help of other members here. Again my mod was done to allow the fogs to come on by themselves, with parking lights, or headlights. If you want them to come on with highbeams j5ive posted a how-to a few posts back. I did that also but sorry i didn't post pics just followed j5ive's post and it was very easy other than trying to cram myself under the steering wheel.

Did the mod last weekend 20 minute from start to finish my only worried was the note you posted: "***NOTE*** .the gauge console dimms when you turn them on." I was worried that the radio display would dim also when I turn on the fog but no problem the display only dim when the light are on. cool

Thank you again
