Glad I could help. Customer service is what you get with a vendor in the US. Buying from an overseas outfit, you are pretty much on your own if there is a problem.

JDM Armrest/Console Installed in USDM Fit with Beige/Black Interior

Hi all. I thought I'd share some pix of the JDM armrest console I just installed in my USDM '07 Fit that came with the beige/black interior.

Based on the pix I saw at japanparts.com, it appears that the JDM Fits have a solid beige interior and not the beige/black that is available in the US. For that reason I ordered the black/charcoal console and the beige lid, keeping my fingers crossed that it wouldn't turn out too bad. I'll let the pix below speak for themselves. As you can see, the plastic underneath the beige upholstery on the armrest is neither charcoal nor black, but I think the overall effect is a good one given that the fabric is so closely matched to the interior.

That looks good. Wish my Fit came with a choice for interior colors.

Does anyone know if the JDM console fits the Base Fit w/ MT? I see that it doesn't fit on the Base w/ AT, but it seems like the shift boot should be the same on both the Base and Sport w/ MT. Thanks!

The in addition to the hole being sized for the smaller shifter that comes on the Sport, the JDM console comes with mounting points for the Sound System Auxiliary input jack and the accessory power connector ("cigarette lighter socket") up at the front. I'm pretty sure the Base Fit doesn't have the Aux input and perhaps it doesn't have the accessory power socket, so you'd need to plan on how you'd deal with the extra hole(s) in the console.

I just measured both my JDM console and the USDM armrest-less console that it replaced, and the diameter of the shifter hole is 4.75". Check your shifter boot and see if it's the same size.

Cheers,
Scott

Thanks...exactly what I needed! I do have the power outlet so I only have to contend with the Aux input jack hole which shouldn't be that big a deal.

I ordered a JDM console and lid from japanparts.com on 7/20 and it was delivered on 7/27. It fit perfectly and looks great. It is much more comfortable to drive now with a place to put your right arm. Installation was easy and there were no problems.
It did come with a new acc. outlet case since the old one could be damaged when it is removed.
Japanparts did a great job and I had no problems with them or the part.

Checked College Hills Honda Parts pages and found that Base MT, Sport MT and Sport AT all have same console part number. Base AT has a different part number athough on their Import Accessory page they say that the one they sell is only for the Sport Model.

For those who ordered the JDM armrest from jdmland.com or japanparts.com can you tell me what you paid after shipping?

I got mine from japanparts.com. The console and lid (sold separately) totaled about $320 and were delivered within 10 days of my ordering them.

How is the Zeta folding arm rest with a manual transmission? I drive a lot and get stuck in traffic. I dont want to keep hitting my elbow everytime I shift. How is it in the up position and the down position. Any help is appreciated.

lol all of you have the jdm counsel or that folding aftermarket one.
when i first got my fit, before knowing there was a jdm one + looking into anything, i got this armrest:

eBay Motors: HONDA FIT Armrest arm rest storage 2007 07 cup holder (item 200140933937 end time Aug-18-07 20:00:10 PDT)

yeah, i know its not jdm honda, or one that folds up. its good for me becuase whats most important to me is the storage. if i LEAN then yeah i use it, usually to talk to someone really important to me closely, lol. i dont really need the to rest my arm thing since i have a manual. it doesnt get in the way of the e-brake, and it doesnt block the back seats coming down, just really really close though. since its something that just sits over the armrest w/out screws or anything and sits snug and well, i just usually tilt it up a little and then put down the seats then push the armrest back down again. i got the black+silver trim one, since it matches the interior. the shape n leather part looks custom, yeah, to my opinion it looks good, and nobody has it.

quite expensive but compared to the jdm honda one its a lot cheaper, and to me, its looks more lively then the fold up one. it has a really good cupholder thing in the back that works well. quality is good, got it pretty quick on ebay, and different trim options, so i give it a ++.

something different?

i got black with metallic silver as it matches the stock stereo face trim and some of the interior thigns.

moved back the seat; since it just sits snug, and i have a manual, i hardly use it as a armrest leanin unless cruisin on the freeway. i rest my hand on the shifter. lol

the material is like vinyl, inside its like a rubber mat on the bottom, some hard cloth type sowed on the edge, i forgot what its called, lost it out of my head. even though i bet things rattle inside, it makes no noise of the things moving inside when going fast, cornering and doing crazy things

when comparing when i bought it, it looked a lot bigger then the fold up ones and now comparing it to the jdm honda one, it looks pretty much the same size storage?

sits snug, but easy to lift when need to put down the back seats. little things i gotta do: lift it up a little, then put down the back seats take off the middle headrest, then just put it back. burden? nah. im not THAT lazy to complain. the part where it it holds to the oem counsel is pretty strong. it doesnt SEEM to be cardboard. wonder what it is.
yeah it doesnt stick out that much, since i can still put things in the oem cupholder, i hide a can of squash air freshner in there.

i like the way it looks, pretty cool, no screws easy to remove, i get to HIDE stuff underneath it lmao. yeah hide stuff. im satisfied, the quality is good.

i saw some aftermarket armrest but i would rather prefer the oem ones for the sliding cup holders in the back.
but for that much is kind of pricey.

Yeah, that extra cup holder feature is nice, especially since the ones in the doors are directly above the speakers. A little spill and . . .
