In my opinon, there's only one armrest to buy. That's the JDM center console. It fits perfectly and matches the interior. All the other aftermarket armrests don't compare.

Yes, it's pricey, but so worth it in the end.

my 2 cents.

I am picking one up tonight probably. When I add leather to the interior it is very easy to add leather to the top of the center console armrest. That is why I like the JDM. It matches the interior as stock, and can be changed pretty easy.

Why not just burn your tunes on a thumb drive and plug in to the USB connector in the upper glove box? Then you could get as many tunes as you want without cumbersome CD's. Just a thought.

Anyone use armrests from an older CR-V on a FIT? They bolt into a 10mm bracket in the seatback and work well for me. My new FIT seems for have the same bracket in the seatback - anyone try this? Thanks!

armrest

I started with the cheapo armrest that screws into the rear cup area. Folds up, opens for storage. Well, I was always telling people to take it easy on the armrest since it is flimsy. I thought the rear mounting screws pulled thru since it was really easy to push the front down. Went to look at it. The rear of it split at the base where the vertical hits the curved area! Broken!

I just ordered the JDM armrest from jdmland.com. Regular price $300, on sale for $230 + $39 shipping. Ouch!

JDM GD3 Fit Armrest Console Kit w/ Adjustable Armrest

Regular price: $299.97
Sale price: $229.97

The OEM center console armrest is built like the proverbial tank, and the mechanism that allows the armrest to move forward and backward feels like the slide on an automatic pistol. The center arm rest is much more substantial than the OEM arm rest on the GE sport.

Why they hateing on the 2009 with a Manual?

Hello,

So everything I look at says not for Manual transmission and not for 2009... So if you have a Manual 2009 Honda Fit are you just out of luck for an armrest?? I hope not.

Any one out there have a 2009 Fit with a Manual Transmission who has installed one? If so where did you get it?
I am in DESPERATE need of one!!

2007 2008 HONDA FIT Armrest storage with cup holder

This thread is just overwhelmingly large. Has anyone bought this product? Does the arm rest slide forward or is it stationary back there?

I'm looking for an armrest for my 07 Fit Sport. From what I can tell Zeta's design doesn't slide forward, and I think I'm going to want that as whenever I drive my Accord, I always slide the arm rest forward.

I haven't used the center rest you mentioned above unfortunately, but I have the one linked below.

JDM GD3 Fit Armrest Console Kit w/ Adjustable Armrest

I actually got in contact with the company & unfortunately that arm rest doesn't slide forward. It measures 10.5 inches though, so it should be long enough.

But I just wound up going with the less expensive

Only 40 bucks, 52 after shipping. It just plugs into the existing cup holder in the back. It also comes with a fold out cup holder to replace the ones it takes up.

If I don't like it, then maybe one day I'll splurge for the JDM and find someone with a 20 mm hole saw who can help me install it.

Exclamation

Just recently got a 2011 and was wondering about the whole armrest thing too... Even my teg, S2k and 06 Civic had one... lame.

So I am considering the swap and saw this site.

JDM GD3 Fit Armrest Console Kit w/ Adjustable Armrest

However, notice it says 07-08. Anyone know if it will work on a 2011 or is there a 2011 model?

Help, thanks~

I just purchased mine from College Hills Honda, installed it last night.
Its a bit different but nicer in quality. Leather rather then fabric.

Only thing is, you basically still use the console you have as oppose to a new one.

Hey CMG, where did you get this and is it screwed into the existing console or is just inserted into the existing bin/cup holder? If so, is it stable without being fastened by screws? I'm interested to know. Been holding off on getting one for a while now. Thanks!
