I don't think it's all that noisy, but I kinda gotta agree with the bumps.

Needs 1 more inch of leg room in the driver's seat, but comfort (for me) is acceptable or I would have seriously considered another option.

Agree. To maximize fuel economy, they minimize the size of the AC system. When I used to work with a Japanese company they had a hard time believing the weather extremes we experience in many parts of the USA.

Have only had my Fit for a couple of days, so two very minor complaints: lack of a proper radio Scan button (maybe it's just me, but I do an awful lot of scanning when I'm driving long distance and the presets don't work anymore) and the fact that USB audio doesn't automatically kick in when I plug in my iPhone (you have to push the Source button a couple of times to get to USB).

None of this is particularly disappointing or earth shattering of course!

I love my Fit but....

1) Great gas mileage (2010 Sport 5-speed manual) however I wish it had a bigger gas tank, even a little bit more would help
2) The blind spot mentioned by others...really notice it in round-abouts which are getting popular in my part of WI
3) The sun visor is almost worthless

Ford really thought that one through quite well, if the GE had such a cubby, the car would be perfect.

Cool 2015 Gauges too dark

I'm overall pretty happy with the 2015 (GK) fit, however, my biggest complaint is the gauges are not back lit for daytime driving and they are too recessed to get enough ambient light, making the tachometer and speedometer difficult to see, especially when wearing sunglasses.

I dont have that issues at all.

They main dislike I have is the seats could be more comfortable when they are laid all the way down. It pushes on your lower back which is very uncomfortable.

After driving the GE Fits for over 5 yrs, it's nice to reflect back and list the things I don't like.

- The seat cushions are short. The seat is tall and feels like sitting at a kitchen table. This became apparent after I was paid to drive a new generation Acura ILX, which had much better seats.

- I realized that I would love a built in navigation.

- Lack of sunroof.

- Lack of rear disc brake. The Fit's brakes aren't the strongest and the breaking distance is pretty long (and it's a MAJOR safety factor).

- Only one cigarette lighter.

- Pretty modest cargo space when carrying 5 adults.

- Not the best for towing (a small camper, for example).

That's it. I do love this car overall. Getting 41 mpg and never had a single problem with it. (Rotors have been resurfaced under warranty at 16 K).

2007 Sport 5MT:
  • No telescoping steering wheel. I learned to drive with my arms fully extended (I'm a fraction over 6' tall)
  • No variable intermittent wiper.
  • Needs a taller top gear. Engine RPM 4k a little over 80mph.
  • Noisy at interstate speeds.
Before I bought my Fit new in January 2007 I had averaged a little over 6k miles/year in my 95 (bought new) Plymouth Neon Sport 5MT. I've averaged 12.7k/year in the Fit, mainly due to more long road trips every year. The Fit has been a very practical, economical, and fun car to drive. But it's not a great choice as an interstate cruiser.

The tiny battery. This one only lasted 2 years, even with regular overnight charging. Yes, I live in Texas and heat is hard on batteries, but my other car (Odyssey) went 6 years on the oem battery.

I hate how the door locks do not unlock every door after turning the vehicle off. When the car starts to drive and locks the doors it locks all doors, but only unlocks the driver door when turning the vehicle off. Very annoying when having passengers!

I think you can change this setting... Check in your owner's manual!

I will have to look tonight but thanks for the tip!
If that is the case then I am 100% satisfied with this car!

I know for a fact that you can change this on the GK. I'm not sure what you're driving or if this can be changed on the older models but I set mine so it unlocks all doors when I shift to Park (IIRC, the other option has it unlocking the doors when you open the driver's side door).

The GE does it too. It's in the manual and it took me a couple tries to get right. I was too busy learning other things about the car to concentrate on the key fob at first.
