Well we finally finished the Sentra and I got Q.E. back yesterday! Washed and then hand glazed the roof and hood. Then went under the rear to start detailing the suspension with gloss black.

Any picture of the Sentra or is it not worth it? If you were working on it, it has to be nice.

Hey Soob,
Sentra has beeeeen done !!
Kids, work, honey do's, honey don'tz haha, waiting on a new distributor the ICM/igniter went out. This will get the spark white again and hopfully raise the MPG . I have about 7 cars/trucks/vans/ and a bus I'm detailing for the University, this will get daddy a nice toy for the Fit. I am going to drive the Civic a little while longer repair the A/C and sell...... I'm ready for a new project

Exclamation

Well it's been a long time since I updated the Civic page. The ignitor went out 4/18/12 and I just got the new distributor in today and what a nice difference it made!! Runs much stronger I figure bcuz of a much improved spark. In the past I had to feather the clutch and gas when taking off from a stop, but not now lol .
Next carpet, Si seats front and rear and repair the A/C it still has pressure in the lines so I figure it's an electrical prob. And last is the Si gauge set w/ tach. and b4 you say it Soob, lol, it's still for sale.
Hey has anybody heard from Vinny Mac? I e-mailed him and didn't hear back? Very unlike him.

Wanted to try Mother's Gold cleaner/wax, it's good, waxxed the hood and roof under a bank tell's window bcuz of rain here (hardcore detailer) haha. Nice beading quality but the proof is a month down the road, right? Drove her to Lynnhaven Mall so Logan could p/u his new glasses and then p/u our girls @ church. Drove like a new car and I belives abit better on the MPG. I'll see that after it's takes me to work & back for the next week or 2,

Looks great. See why those cars are so popular to build? Parts are easy to get.

Thats lookin real clean, Mike! Have you considered the MPFI/A6 cam swap?

I was just commissioned for an EF Hatch sleeper project on Sunday.

These little guys are a ton of fun and super easy to work on.

Already dropped on coilovers, D16A6 (non-vtec) 16v cam, ARP Head studs and Rod bolts, MLS Head gasket, 2" temporary exhaust, Bi$i valve springs, adjustable cam gear and 4spd-5spd Si Trans swap.

Next up: 15x8 +14 wheels of some sort.. Flashable PM6 ECU/MPFI swap, DSM 450cc injectors, Walbro 190lph inline pump, Aeromotive AFPR, a forward-facing twin-scroll T3 Holset HX30 turbo.

Still debating on a traditional front mount or water-air intercooler, that is up to the owner. Either way there will also be a water/meth injection system as well.

Just for laughs:

Also, against my wishes.. this will be a rolled, tucked and slammed "Hellaflush"

But I told him if were going that route it will be done properly.

Man Chris that is a nice hatch! Ya my ol' mill is abit tired inside, but at 40+ mpg it's really hard to go fast and loose $&MPG. It looks like that one started life as a white hatch. But that lil monster your building is going to be a real terror on the street! Keep up dating here "mi casa su casa"

Me & my daughter Rach ran Sea Foam through the intake and tank yesterday and dang if it hasn't smoothed out the idle more and quieted down the valves.
Ran it into the vacuum line from the brake to the intake and the white smoke was instant. Let it sit for 20 minutes and ran @ a fast idle and lost the neighborhood and our house in a cloud of white smoke, lol. Then took her for a 8 mile ride on the bypass still smoke'n like a trailer park mother-in-law after her second cup of coffee. It cleared up and she has been getting better on the idle and valve noise. I thought it was my imaginenation w/ the noise and then Rach said tonight that the engine was alot quieter. This 10.00 (wally-mart) can of cleaner really helped this 180K beat on d15b2. The other owners did not belive in regular mantiniece. But slowly she's coming back better and better. Going to try to add the last third to the oil and take a short ride and change tommorow. This poor little 4 banger blackens the oil within 500 miles of a oil change!
Also have a front sway bar coming in next week, when I was changing out the front suspension there wasn't a swaybar?? Snagged one off a CRX w/ new bushings for 25.00. Paint it purple and put it on

Seafoam works great. The last time I used it was on the van and the mpg did go up. I just wish the fuel was better. Premium is cleaner but at times you still need to seafoam or at least a good fuel injection cleaner usually after a season change.

My experience with Regular ethanol blends is the reason the tail pipe and oil turn black soon after a oil change. I would change the oil every 2000-3000 miles in that car and maybe look into a oil additive like Rislone engine treatment with ZDDP. The nice thing is a bottle should last for 3 oil changes.
Engine Oil Supplement with Zinc Treatment (p/n 4401) | Products | Bar's Products - Premium Automotive Chemicals

I would also use a thicker oil like 10w30 too.

I have used Rislone regular oil treatment in the way past and seen this so I know its a good product. STP came out with something like this in synthetic form 5 years back or so and I bought 2 bottles and still have some left I use in the lawnmowers. They still make the stp treatment in 8oz form in the blue or red bottle. The red bottle has more zddp and is for 4 cylinders but hard to find. They might of discontinued the red bottle like they did with the synthetic form.

20w50 has a lot of zddp so you might not need that product. We used to use Cam 20w50 in our race cars in the early 80s. That was when we thought 100 pounds of oil pressure was cool. 15w40 has more zddp too so maybe get a bottle(4 qt) at wally world for 10 dollars and mix the two.

Tach time

So I have been wanting a tach in the Hatch for months now. But I didn't want to spend the money on a Sun or Auto tach soo I pulled the one out of the Charger and installed on the side of the insturment cluster. I had to re-index the case w/ a dremil tool so it wasn't crooked. haha. But it looks nice and I like the function also.
