ef civic hb our new Honda @117k
Hey Glenn I changed the oil & filter this past weekend and put Castrol 20-50 in "ol smokey" and so far so good??! I will def use an engine cleaner if I don't just buy another drivetrain for it (JDMB16 Type R 185hp). She has her querks but i like her as much as the Fit for cruise'n.

I didn't know it burned oil, I might of missed that. 20w50 will definitely slow that problem and the extra zinc will keep it from getting worse. Dont need engine cleaner unless your planing on rebuilding the head and pistons. That other motor would make that car into a track car and it would be in the low 13s with a different trans and axles. Then you be cruising down the track.
Too much zinc will cause galling so no more is needed with that oil.

I miss that motor and the car it was in. I should of bought it.

Went to my Tuner shop in town and had Keyan and Vinny check out the 4 corners and the camber is .-56 degrees but the toe was 2" off!
1st time I could unleash the Beast WOT in the twisties hahahahahah
The difference is way better now than @ any time b4 w/ the suspension and steering.
The A/C was so cold this morning on the way to work it hurt, and that's good?
It's getting closer to where it needs to be. I'm think'n Barrett/Jackson what do yous guys think?..JK

Tint job would look good. Good job man!
Yep the perivious owner must musta had a bad day and took it out on the roof! I went down to Harris Teeters (a grocery store chain here) and got a 6# block of dry ice. It sure helped but by far did not completly remove the dents. the biggest dent reflection was about the size of a basketball. The ice trick and about 20 minutes of working the ice shrunk it down to a baseball size dip, not nearly as bad but still noticable 2me. So the dryice helps, but bodyshop are not going to dissapear from the face of the earth.
It's kind cool with all the smoke coming off the DI kinda makes ya feel like the Mad Scientist

Sure man, the hatch counts... NOW to go with the mad scientist would be flames on the sides and smoke stack exhausts ala monster mag of the old days!
Looking good Mike. My son has a Multi port fuel injection for that motor for free if your interested. Next time he is over I will have him take pictures of it to show you. You have to pay shipping. It was left overs of a engine he used for parts for the B16.
You might want to do a compression test but I think replacing the valve seals would fix the oil burning problem.
